  1. Meanwhile over the Irish Seapublished at 13:58 BST 21 September

    Hants 288-6 v Lancs

While we have a break between innings at Utilita Bowl, it's worth reminding that there is a men's ODI between Ireland and England taking place in Dublin right now.

  2. Someone from Lancs must bat wellpublished at 13:55 BST 21 September

    Hants 288-6 v Lancs

As Kevan James rightly points out, Hampshire will probably be reasonably happy with their score of 288 after Lancashire put them in at 10:30 BST.

The frustration will come from the fact that Georgia Adams with 77, Maia Bouchier with 66 and even Abi Norgrove with her 36 down the order all got out just when they were starting to put their foot down.

That stopped them hitting 300, but even so, someone from Lancashire is going to have to bat well to chase this score down.

  3. 'Hampshire will be reasonably happy'published at 13:44 BST 21 September

    Interval: Hants 288-6 v Lancs

It's a total that will need to be carefully managed by Lancashire when they come to bat.

I think Hampshire will be reasonably happy with that.

  4. Interval - Lancs need 289 to winpublished at 50 overs

    Hants 288-6 v Lancs

Kate Cross closes out the innings, conceding three singles from each of her last three balls - and Hampshire fall short of that 300 they'd have been hoping for.

Lancashire will need to chase 289 to win the trophy.

  5. Postpublished at 49.3 overs

    Hants 285-6 v Lancs

Nice work by Naomi Dattani, steering Kate Cross to deep third for four and running hard to pick up two from the next ball, a leg-side heave.

  6. 'Safe pair of hands from Cross'published at 13:38 BST 21 September

    Hants 278-6 v Lancs

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That is a good catch by Kate Cross right in front of the pavilion.

She has a safe pair of hands because that is her third catch of the innings. Having caught Maia Bouchier and Rhianna Southby, she now accounts for Abi Norgrove.

  7. Postpublished at 49 overs

    Hants 278-6 v Lancs

Great over from Grace Potts, with a wicket and just four conceded.

She finishes with 3-47 from nine overs.

  8. Postpublished at 48.4 overs

    Hants 277-6 v Lancs

Naomi Dattani slams Grace Potts for a leg-side single, but Hampshire can't find the boundary at the moment.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 48.1 overs

    Norgrove c Cross b Potts 36 (Hampshire 274-6 v Lancashire)

Another wicket for Grace Potts as Abi Norgrove throws the kitchen sink in the penultimate over!

Norgrove tries to hit her over the top and is safely caught, bringing Mary Taylor to the middle.

  10. Postpublished at 48 overs

    Hants 274-5 v Lancs

Four singles from the first four balls of this latest Fi Morris over - and, although Naomi Dattani picks up a couple off the final ball, the spinner gives away just six in total and crucially no boundaries.

Two overs left in the Hampshire innings.

  11. Postpublished at 47 overs

    Hants 268-5 v Lancs

Lancashire will feel they've pulled this back in the last couple of overs, with two wickets and only 10 runs conceded.

Three overs left, so 300 is still on but Hampshire will need to go big from one of those.

  12. 'Harman is quite positive in these stages'published at 13:27 BST 21 September

    Hampshire 263-5 v Lancashire

    Kevan James

    Well that's a shame.

Nancy Harman is quite positive in these stages.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 46.1 overs

    Harman lbw b Potts 3 (Hampshire 263-5 v Lancashire)

Grace Potts strikes and Lancashire have wickets in successive overs...

Nancy Harman is struck on the pads and the umpire's opinion is that the ball would have continued into leg stump.

Naomi Dattani is the new batter.

  14. 'Did Adams need to go for that?'published at 13:24 BST 21 September

    Hampshire 263-4 v Lancashire

    Amelia Clark
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Did Georgia Adams need to go for the reverse sweep? They were in such a nice groove.

I know she was going for it and she was playing down the ground so well, but it does feel like a bit of a somewhat wasted opportunity there.

  15. Postpublished at 46 overs

    Hants 263-4 v Lancs

Fi Morris will certainly take that at this stage - just five conceded from her over along with the prize wicket of Georgia Adams.

Up to Abi Norgrove now to try and steer Hampshire to 300 in these last four overs.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36.2 overs

    Adams b Morris 77 (Hampshire 260-4 v Lancashire)

    Lancashire needed that!

Georgia Adams tries to reverse sweep Fi Morris - and misses. Which means the ball thuds into her stumps.

No century for the Hampshire skipper this time, but her 77 has set them up for a very handy total.

Nancy Harman replaces her in the middle.

  17. 250 runs

250 up for Hampshirepublished at 45 overs

    Hants 258-3 v Lancs

Abi Norgrove is looking to make the most of that life in the previous over, working the ball around off Mahika Gaur to push Hampshire's total beyond 250.

Norgrove picks up a boundary as well, smearing one through the empty slip area and she's now 32 not out from 25 balls.

    Five overs left.

  18. 'It seemed harder to put down than hold'published at 13:17 BST 21 September

    Hants 248-3 v Lancs

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That was a bad drop. That was not out of middle of the bat and it reached Grace Potts about stomach height, straight at her.

It seemed harder to put down than hold.

  19. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 44 overs

    Hants 248-3 v Lancs

Lancashire should have their fourth wicket as Abi Norgrove's drive off Fi Morris sails to mid-off - where Grace Potts fumbles.

The fielder looks understandably downcast and Hampshire continue to plunder runs as Georgia Adams advances to 75 not out and her partnership with Norgrove is now worth 55.

  20. Postpublished at 43 overs

    Hants 239-3 v Lancs

Now Mahika Gaur returns for her third - and presumably final - spell and the left-armer's first four balls go for just four runs overall.

However, the fifth and sixth are both dispatched to the boundary by Georgia Adams, who is now 67 not out and might even be in line to make it back-to-back hundreds.

26 off the last two overs.
