Tom Alsop will have been given firm instructions to get on with this and not waste any time.

With seven wickets in the shed, it should be a walk in the park for Trent Rockets. But it isn't over until the fat lady sings.

  7. Rockets 91-3published at 25 balls left

    Need another 34 to win

Just that one boundary from Dan Lawrence's last five balls. He ends with 0-29 from his 20 balls.

The required rate is creeping up and up for the Rockets.

They should still get over the line but the surface is slowing up and the tension is building at Trent Bridge.

  8. Rockets 89-3published at 28 balls left

    Need another 36 to win

That should relieve some of the pressure!

Holden has fallen for the trap. Rashid dangled the carrot and he took the bait.

    Magnificent from Adil Rashid.

The leg-spinner continues to build the pressure and, ultimately, Max Holden decides he has to try and get the Rockets going again.

But in doing so he just chips the ball down to Zak Crawley at long-off.

Superchargers are dragging this back superbly.

  12. Rockets 82-2published at 35 balls left

    Need another 43 to win

The crowd at Trent Bridge is very subdued.

It's strange because, on paper, the Rockets are well on top but the pressure has started to build and there is definitely a nervousness in the air.

    Six from Dan Lawrence's latest.

Luck is on Rehan Ahmed's side. Northern Superchargers will feel a little bit of grief because things just haven't fallen their way in the field.

Superchargers can't let up this pressure they have been building.

Mohammad Amir has been excellent tonight. He's gone for just nine runs from his 15 balls so far.

Batting is looking very tricky right now and Rehan Ahmed is battling.

He forces the ball through extra cover to end the set, it's in the air but just out of reach of the diving fielder and he gets two.

Rehan Ahmed has tried to hit the backward point area a few times, but with two fielders there Superchargers know he likes to target it.

He has had a couple of chances and will want to take them and push on here.

    Big let-off for Rehan Ahmed!

He charges Dan Lawrence and skews the ball high into the off side.

It looks for all the world that he will be caught but he finds the gap between three fielders perfectly - and not only that, the ball also spins and bounces over the head of Graham Clark running in so the Rockets pinch a second run.

Joe Root got himself into a tangle. It was a floated delivery and an awkward length. Root tried to dab it but ended up too early on the ball.

He looks disappointed but Imad Wasim has worked hard to carve out wickets.

Joe Root shakes his head as - from nowhere - he's gone.

He just tries to turn the ball to get for a single but it holds in the pitch ever so slightly and that's all it takes for Imad Wasim.

A leading edge and the ball dollies back to the bowler.

  20. Rockets 60-1published at 55 balls left

Adil Rashid gets through another very good set with only three singles from it.

Joe Root helps his stats against his England team-mate with two of those runs.
