Summary

  1. Superchargers 58-4published at 50 balls

Superchargers reach the halfway mark in style with two boundaries from Harry Brook, crunching one through the covers before slamming the next down the ground off Sam Cook.

Four wickets down but if Brook can bat through, Superchargers will have something competitive.

In 12 innings against leg-spinners since the start of 2024 in T20s and The Hundred, Harry Brook has been dismissed by them seven times at an average of just 10.

He does enjoy a good head-to-head record against Rehan Ahmed though, scoring 44 runs off 29 balls without a dismissal.

This will really test Harry Brook. He'll want to be on the aggressive side but I don't think he can be in this instance. He needs to try to bat with Clark for a little while and see where they are after halfway.

  4. Superchargers 46-4published at 45 balls

    Lovely.

A slower ball from Lockie Ferguson, but it's too wide and Graham Clark slashes gratefully through the off side for four.

A much-needed boundary for the Superchargers.

  5. Superchargers 38-4published at 40 balls

Brilliant from Rehan Ahmed, who has 1-6 from his first 10 balls.

What a summer he's having with both bat and ball.

  6. Not outpublished at 38 balls

As you were - Harry Brook's bat has hit his pad.

  7. Rockets reviewpublished at 38 balls

    It's all going on!

Tom Banton is convinced that Harry Brook has nicked one behind.

  8. Superchargers 35-4published at 35 balls

It's got to be a Harry Brook masterclass or nothing from here.

  9. Not outpublished at 33 balls

    Umpire's call, clipping leg stump.

A nervy start for Clark but he survives.

  10. Rockets reviewpublished at 33 balls

    Surely not another?

Rehan Ahmed strikes Graham Clark on the front pad with his first ball as he goes back, looking to defend.

It looks like it's going down the leg side, but the Rockets call for a review.

Dan Lawrence was not able to pick that up at all. He got himself in a really awkward position. A great start from Rehan Ahmed.

The Brook/Lawrence recovery is short-lived, as Rehan Ahmed strikes second ball!

A third wicket falls to spin as Dan Lawrence is on the back foot trying to pull, but it sneaks under the bat and takes his leg stump.

Superchargers are in a right pickle.

Harry Brook against Lockie Ferguson should be a tasty battle here. In six T20/Hundred innings before today, Brook has scored 66 runs off 35 balls against Ferguson with no dismissals.

  14. Superchargers 33-3published at 30 balls

Lockie Ferguson, who starred in Rockets' opener, impresses again with just four runs coming from his first five balls.

Harry Brook calls Dan Lawrence through for a risky single and it would've been close with a direct hit, but Adam Hose's throw misses.

This is the fourth time Akeal Hosein has bowled 15 balls in the powerplay in the men's Hundred. No other spinner has bowled 15+ balls more often in that phase of the game.

  16. Superchargers 29-3published at 25 balls

Powerplay done, and despite a flurry of boundaries from Brook, Rockets are still in control.

If there's any pressure here, Harry Brook is shrugging it off casually with that.

    Harry Brook is outrageous.

Akeal Hosein has just dismissed both openers but Brook isn't the slightest bit bothered, whacking him down the ground for six before sweeping the next ball for four.

  19. Superchargers 18-3published at 20 balls

Dan Lawrence joins Harry Brook in the middle - another explosive and talented batter, but they've got a lot of work to do in recovering this innings.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19 balls

    Pepper c Root b Cook 6 (Superchargers 18-3)

Three down! A horror start for the Superchargers.

Having lofted Sam Cook's second ball for four, Michael Pepper perishes two balls later as he slashes straight to Joe Root at point.

Root juggles, but eventually clings on to a simple chance.
