Summary

  1. Rockets 9-0published at 93 balls left

    Target 125

Imad Wasim is bowling the next five as Superchargers try to sneak through a set in the powerplay with his left-arm darts.

No such luck as Tom Banton brings out the reverse sweep and slaps it for four.

Mohammad Amir has got some early swing, he will try to swing it back. It will be interesting to see how Tom Banton plays it - he might try some scoops.

Root will do what Root does.

  3. Rockets 3-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 125

Very tidy start from Mohammad Amir.

The swing on offer is making the opening batters think and there are just three singles from the first five.

  4. Rockets 1-0published at 98 balls left

    Target 125

In-swinging yorker second ball from Mohammad Amir, he'll enjoy how much that swung, but Tom Banton digs it out for a single to get Trent Rockets up and running.

Trent Rockets got the wickets at the right time. They never let Superchargers settle. A couple of starts from Harry Brook and Graham Clark but they never really put the Rockets under any pressure.

Marcus Stoinis picking up those two wickets stemmed the flow of runs. They've given themselves a very chaseable target.

Plenty of impressive bowling performances for Trent Rockets - not least Marcus Stoinis taking two wickets without conceding a run from the five balls he bowled.

Rehan Ahmed also took a couple of wickets as the leg-spinning all-rounder's summer to remember continues.

    Thanks, Ffion.

A very similar first innings to the women's game at Trent Bridge earlier.

Batting side in trouble early, dragged towards a more respectable total by the captain but still finishing the 100 balls some way short of where they'd have wanted.

The only difference is that this time it's the Rockets with the upper hand at the halfway stage.

It was a disastrous start from the Northern Superchargers as they slipped to 18-3, but Harry Brook's entertaining 45 and 36 from Graham Clark led a brief recovery.

But the lower order offered very little after they both departed, thanks to a fine all-round bowling effort from the Rockets. Akeal Hosein, Sam Cook, Rehan Ahmed and Marcus Stoinis all took two wickets each.

To take you through what should be a straightforward chase for the home side, here's Sam Drury.

  12. 6 runs

    Superchargers 124-9published at 100 balls

    Followed by a six!

A very handy cameo from Mohammad Amir as he clubs the penultimate ball down the ground, but misses out from the last.

Trent Rockets will still be the much happier side, as they will only be chasing 125 to win.

  13. Superchargers 117-9published at 97 balls

Trent Rockets have to bring an extra fielder inside the circle as they have not bowled their 100 balls in time, and Mohammad Amir makes the most of it with four precious runs whacked over cover.

  14. dropped catch

Potts dropped on 9published at 96 balls

    Superchargers 113-9

    Spilled at mid-off!

It's over his head but Lockie Ferguson gets two hands on it, and puts it down.

  15. Superchargers 111-9published at 95 balls

And Lockie Ferguson concludes his spell with a fierce short ball to Matthew Potts, who just about fends it off himself.

Five balls to go in this stuttering Superchargers innings.

Nothing you can do about that. It was quick and a perfect yorker from Lockie Ferguson. Just crashes into the bottom of the off stump. One of those unplayable deliveries.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 93 balls

    Rashid b Ferguson 0 (Superchargers 110-9)

Or not! Lockie Ferguson cleans up Adil Rashid with a perfect yorker.

Nothing the England leg-spinner could do there - full, fast and thumping into the base of off stump.

  18. Superchargers 109-8published at 90 balls

Superchargers just need to make sure they see out their 100 balls at this point.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 89 balls

    Lawes c Banton c Cook 4 (Superchargers 109-8)

The short ball works for Sam Cook!

Tom Lawes' curious innings comes to an end as he tries to upper cut over the keeper, but just gets an edge through to Tom Banton instead.

  20. Superchargers 107-7published at 85 balls

Trent Rockets won't mind this at all, as Lawes and Potts just tick over the singles with very little intent yet.
