  1. Postpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 10 May

    Sussex 284 v Worcs 49-3

Ollie Robinson is back on after some treatment on an as yet unspecified left leg problem and his first delivery has been punched through cover off the back foot by Henry Nicholls.

  2. 200 runs

200 up for Lancashirepublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 203-4

A nicely-timed straight drive by Marcus Harris off Harry Conway brings the left-hander another four and ushers the Lancashire total beyond 200.

Harris has moved on to 80 now - is this going to be another big ton for the Australian?

  3. Kashif Ali dropped on 0published at 12:11 British Summer Time 10 May

    Sussex 284 v Worcs 45-3

Having taken a decent grab in Aristides Karvelas's previous over, Tom Alsop has shelled a much easier chance there.

He gets two hands to an edge which arrives at his left shoulder at first slip but lets it bounce through and cannot grab the second chance as it spins up and over his shoulder.

  4. Postpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 10 May

Sir James Anderson had hoped to be back in action by now for Lancashire, but injury continues to delay his first appearance of the 2025 season. No wonder he's looking a little bit glum.

    Sussex 284 v Worcs 45-3

    Nikki Chaudhuri
Commentator on BBC 5 Sports Extra

That's a very good catch in the slips from Tom Alsop.

He's watched that well and gets his fingers underneath. There's a bit of a nip around this morning and it's definitely been in Sussex's favour.

Gareth Roderick will have to go, 21 from 32 balls.

  6. 50 partnership for Glamorganpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Glamorgan 439-7

They didn't manage the fifth batting point, but Ben Kellaway and Andy Gorvin now have a 50 partnership as the former guides a ball from Grant Stewart through point for a single.

  7. wicket

    Westley c Bairstow b Coad 26 (Essex 59-6 v Yorks 216)

Ben Coad, YorkshireImage source, Rex Features

Another wicket for Yorkshire - and it's the one they wanted most, you suspect.

Tom Westley was the only Essex batter who'd been able to deal with this relentlessly accurate bowling, but Ben Coad moves one away from the home skipper just enough to take the edge.

Jonny Bairstow does the rest behind the stumps and Essex are floundering now as Noah Thain comes out to join Michael Pepper.

They still need eight runs to avoid the follow-on...

  8. dropped catch

Dropped catch at Northamptonpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 189-4

That looked like a sitter - and Northamptonshire can't afford to spurn their chances.

Luke Wells isn't yet into his stride and he edges Harry Conway to slip, at a very catchable height, but James Sales juggles and spills it.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 10 May

    Roderick c Alsop b Karvelas 21 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 43-3)

Aristides Karvelas gains a deserved wicket after a decent spell, taking the wicket of Gareth Roderick courtesy of a good grab at first slip from Tom Alsop.

The length does for Roderick drawing him slightly forward and off balance before leaving him slightly off the pitch and bagging the edge.

Tom Alsop stays low and keeps his eyes on it as it dies on him at first slip, taking it low to his right.

  10. Postpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 417-4 v Surrey

Jordan Clark has a short mid-off in place for both Tom Latham and Ed Barnard now.

He can't do anything about that, though, as Latham drives into a big gap at extra cover for four runs and is now 168 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 110 overs

    Warks 410-4 v Surrey

We mentioned this yesterday and can only apologise that we don't have the word power to do full justice to Dan Lawrence's jerky, twirling, loopy bowling action.

He's been having a word with coach Grant Batty on the boundary edge. Will their conflab result in the breaking of this Warwickshire partnership?

Four singles from that over as Warwickshire have to settle for four batting points - and Surrey a single bowling point.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 10 May

    Hurst b Guthrie 59 (Northants 238 v Lancs 184-4)

Finally, Liam Guthrie makes the breakthrough for Northants.

The left-armer is going around the wicket to Matty Hurst and tempts him to drive off the back foot, but he only succeeds in dragging the ball back onto his off stump.

Applause for Hurst as he returns to the visitors' dressing room following that partnership of 125 with Marcus Harris.

In comes Luke Wells, with Lancashire still trailing by 54.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 10 May

    Libby lbw b Hudson-Prentice 13 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 39-2)

A confident shout and it's given and, looking at the replays, that was a good call from the umpire.

Jake Libby has missed the line as Fynn Hudson-Prentice jags it back off the seam and it was taking a good chunk of leg stump.

Further good news for Sussex is that Ollie Robinson is back on the field following treatment for a left lower leg injury of some sort.

  14. 'A fine partnership'published at 11:52 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 401-4 v Surrey

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Hereford & Worcestershire

It's been a fine partnership, this has. Particularly the performance of Tom Latham - he's been outstanding for them.

The New Zealander is out there on 159.

  15. Postpublished at 106.5 overs

    Kent v Glamorgan 428-7

Looks like Glamorgan have decided to have a go at the fifth batting point.

Ben Kellaway drives Grant Stewart through point for four and later in the over top edges an attempted pull and it finds the boundary at long leg. He is 110 not out.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 10 May

    Critchley c Bean b Coad 6 (Essex 50-5 v Yorks 216)

Essex are five down as Ben Coad strikes for the first time this morning!

It's fairly similar to the Robin Das wicket earlier as Matt Critchley can only steer Coad into the hands of third slip.

Much resting on the shoulders of Essex captain Tom Westley, who is still there on 23. Michael Pepper is his latest partner in the middle.

  17. 400 up for Warwickshirepublished at 107.2 overs

    Warks 400-4 v Surrey

Time for spin as Dan Lawrence comes into the attack.

Ed Barnard strokes his second delivery to mid-on for a single and Warwickshire have their fourth batting point with two and a bit overs to spare.

For the kit conscious among you, Lawrence is wearing a white or off-white under-shirt/vest today instead of the dark one he had on yesterday.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Matty Hurstpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 166-3

Matty Hurst, LancashireImage source, Rex Features

Matty Hurst has his ninth first-class 50 as he steers Ben Sanderson away for a single and raises his bat before exchanging fist bumps with Marcus Harris.

It's the second successive game in which Hurst has gone past 50, having hit 78 against Gloucestershire at Old Trafford last weekend.

Mo Abbas celebrates the wicket of Nick Gubbins

And there it is... Mo Abbas's first wicket for Notts.

He has beaten the bat countless times already this morning and that one has grabbed the edge of Nick Gubbins' bat and flown to Lyndon James at fourth slip where the all-rounder takes a good low catch.

It completes 13-ball duck for the Hampshire man and leaves his side wobbling a little early on.

  20. 50 runs

for Ed Barnardpublished at 104.5 overs

    Warks 394-4 v Surrey

    Ed BarnardImage source, Getty Images

Ed Barnard has been in decent form this season and reaches 50 for the third time by driving a half-volley from Matthew Fisher for four.

It's his fifth boundary of this innings and the half-century has taken him 84 balls.

Warwickshire need just six more for a fourth batting point, but they are running out of overs if they hope to add the fifth.
