  1. 150 runs

for Ben Kellawaypublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Glamorgan 519-9

Time for a bit of Bazball.

Ben Kellaway walks across his stumps and flips Kashif Ali away past the keeper for four runs to reach 150 off 216 balls.

This has been a really mature knock for his side but now it looks like it's time for a bit of fun.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 10 May

    Harris b Parkinson 12 (Kent v Glamorgan 515-9)

As James Harris was aiming for cow corner, perhaps we should view that as farmyard cricket.

The Glamorgan tail-ender tries to slog Matt Parkinson's leg-spin but makes no contact and is bowled.

Asitha Fernando is Glamorgan's last man.

  3. 100 runs

100 up for Essexpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 10 May

    Essex 103-6 v Yorks 216

Ben Coad, with three wickets already to his name, launches Yorkshire's post-lunch assault as they seek to break this stand of 90 between Michael Pepper and Noah Thain.

Pepper miscues a pull off Coad, but gains a bit of fortune as his top edge flies over the slips and earns him a single.

His next scoring stroke is more orthodox as he pumps Dan Moriarty off the back foot to the fence on the off side.

  4. 'A tame departure for Albert'published at 13:52 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts 333 v Hants 99-6

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Hampshire haven't added to their lunchtime score but they have lost another wicket. Notts pick up their fourth bonus point of the match.

That was a bit of a tame departure for Toby Albert, he just pushed at it was nicely snapped up by Freddie McCann.

  5. Postpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 489-5 v Surrey

Was that a chance? We'll give Dom Sibley the benefit of the doubt.

Stationed at a wide first slip, he can't lay a hand on an edge by Zen Malik and the ball heads for the third man boundary.

Matthew Fisher is the unlucky bowler.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 10 May

    Albert c McCann b Abbas 0 (Notts 333 v Hants 99-6)

Early breakthrough after lunch and it is Mo Abbas again.

What a signing he is beginning to look as he moves to 4-19 from 10.3 overs.

Toby Albert has pushed a little to hard at that and edged to second slip where Freddie McCann has taken the chance.

The difference between the two sides has been holding on to the chances offered with Hants spilling too many in the slip cordon.

  7. Glamorgan reach 500published at 13:44 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent v Glamorgan 502-8

James Harris puts Ekansh Singh away through point for four runs as Glamorgan pass 500 in a County Championship innings against Kent for only the third time. The other two were in 1999 and 2014.

  8. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 243-6

Because that George Balderson wicket fell a couple of minutes before lunch, we're back under way already at Wantage Road, with Tom Hartley the new batter for Lancashire.

Liam Guthrie delivers the first over of the session, with four dot balls to Hartley after Marcus Harris picked up a single to nudge Lancashire's lead up to five runs.

  9. Barnard looking for centurypublished at 13:38 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 481-5 v Surrey

We have reached that point where we have to consider what kind of total Warwickshire might be looking for before a declaration.

Or, alternatively, how much more time do they want to use up before the task of trying to bowl a Surrey batting line-up, minus Ollie Pope and Jamie Smith, out twice.

Of course, both questions could be rendered irrelevant if Surrey produce a quick burst of wickets, but there has been little evidence so far in the game to suggest it will happen.

Ed Barnard is set to resume on 94 not out and Zen Malik has 12.

  10. Women's One-Day Cup returns on Sundaypublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 10 May

    Riverside: Durham v Warwickshire

Old Trafford: Lancashire v The Blaze

    Taunton: Somerset v Surrey

The Blaze and Somerset are the current top two with four wins from their five games, with Hampshire in third place.

Following Thursday's events to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Essex have had one of their own at lunchtime with the official unveiling of a new memorial to honour 16 players from the county who lost their lives in the two World Wars.

  13. Surrey settle for containmentpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warwickshire 481-5 v Surrey - lunch

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

Warwickshire have continued to take advantage of favourable batting conditions on another sunny day at Edgbaston.

Surrey’s bowlers have found little life in the pitch and the best they’ve been able to do is to contain the home side as much as possible.

The one wicket to fall was that of Tom Latham, who edged to Ben Foakes behind the stumps as Tom Lawes seemed to get just a little extra bounce.

By that time the New Zealand Test star had set a new Warwickshire record for a debut score making 184.

Ed Barnard should have quickly followed but was put down, off what can only be described as an easy chance by the unfortunate sub fielder James Taylor.

  14. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 10 May

    Sussex 284 v Worcs 70-3

A decent first session for Sussex but one which might have been even better had Tom Alsop hung on to a relatively simple chance to dismiss Kashif Ali when he was yet to score.

That said, 70-3, with Ali on 13 and Henry Nicholls on 17, is not a strong position for the visitors on a pitch that has offered a little for disciplined line and length. Ari Karvelas has been the pick of a very mean bowling display all round.

His seven overs have seen him pick up 1-5 and send down five maidens which demonstrates perfectly how difficult Worcs are finding scoring opportunities.

Ollie Robinson gave Sussex a little bit of a scare going off earlier after seemingly sustain (or aggravate) a left leg injury but he returned to bowl so it will be a watching brief in the middle session.

Overall Sussex are in slightly better shape than their opponents.

A century celebration for Glamorgan’s 21 year old all-rounder Ben Kellaway was the highlight of the morning session in Canterbury as the visitors ticked on quietly towards 500.

Kellaway was 91 not out overnight and was happy to take his time over his maiden ton, achieved with a stylish cover drive for three off Kashif Ali.

Partner Andy Gorvin was dropped behind on 14 off Kashif but put together a stand of 108 with Kellaway as Kent suffered in the sun.

Gorvin eventually holed out to deep square off spinner Matt Parkinson for a solid 47 but the composed Kellaway had 142 next to his name with no obvious sign of a lunchtime declaration.

    Notts 333 v Hants 99-5

Ben Brown's dismissal is the catalyst for lunch and as Notts walk from the field it will be with a spring in their step after a session that has gone their way.

Hants have added 97 runs but the hosts have held their catches and produced some unplayable stuff to take five wickets with the ball. Mo Abbas has been the pick.

The dismissal of the Hampshire skipper is a huge blow given his current form and much will depend on Toby Albert and Liam Dawson as the last recognised batting pairing in the line up.

  17. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warwickshire 481-5 v Surrey

Five singles and a no-ball from Dan Lawrence's final over of the morning at Edgbaston, a session again dominated by Warwickshire.

The Bears added 117 for the loss of New Zealander Tom Latham, who was caught behind off Tom Lawes for 184 following a stand of 169 with Ed Barnard.

It was the highest score in a debut innings for the county.

Barnard goes into lunch just six runs short of what would be his second hundred of the season, having been dropped on 78, with Zen Malik 12 not out.

  18. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 10 May

    Essex 94-6 v Yorks 216

Yorkshire finish the session with a two-pronged spin attack as Dom Bess is given an over alongside Dan Moriarty.

Moriarty has a decent lbw appeal against Noah Thain turned down in the final over before lunch, but it's still very much Yorkshire's morning.

Thain, with 17, and Michael Pepper, who is 21 not out, have staged a mini-recovery for the home side with their stand of 35 so far.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 10 May

    Gorvin c Stewart b Parkinson 47 (Kent v Glamorgan 497-8)

Relief at last for Kent as Andy Gorvin sweeps Matt Parkinson, fails to keep it down and picks out Grant Stewart at backward square leg.

He put on 108 with Ben Kellaway, who is 142 not out.

  20. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 242-6

Wicket for Northamptonshire with the final ball of the session as Luke Procter nips one back to trap George Balderson in front for 10.

The home side have bowled well - but unfortunately their fielding has let them down as Lancashire now hold a four-run advantage and Marcus Harris remains unbeaten on 106.
