  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 10 May

    Bell-Drummond c Ingram b TVDG 3 (Kent 18-3 v Glamorgan 549-9 dec)

This must be a very big shock to the collective Kent system, having chased the ball around the outfield for four and a bit sessions.

DBD pushes forward to Timm van der Gugten and that is a comfortable catch for Colin Ingram at first slip.

  2. Postpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 10 May

    Essex 123 v Yorks 216 & 6-0

Two innings completed midway through day two - so will we see the clatter of wickets continue?

Not just yet in this Yorkshire second innings, with Adam Lyth caressing a cover drive for four off Jamie Porter, although the bowler also spears one in that zips through and just past the stumps.

The visitors lead by 99 overall.

  3. 150 runs

for Ed Barnardpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 578-5 v Surrey

Ed Barnard drives to mid-off, takes a single and has 150 not out from 224 balls.

Zen Malik's maiden 50 arrives from the very next delivery - it has taken him 76 balls.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 10 May

    Singh c Hayes b Clark 0 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 111-8)

They are falling like ten pins here at Hove and that is a third wicket in 10 deliveries.

Tom Clark was looking for the lbw but Fateh Singh has clipped it off his pads but straight to widish midwicket where James Hayes takes a tumbling low catch.

  5. Postpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 577-5 v Surrey

Ed Barnard tucks Nathan Smith for a single and moves to 149 not out.

This is now Warwickshire's third highest County Championship score against Surrey, having recently beaten their 571 at Edgbaston in 2012 - and they are not far off the 585-7 at The Oval in 1905.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 10 May

    Waite c Simpson b Hudson-Prentice 0 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 110-7)

And another for Fynn Hudson-Prentice who takes two in four balls.

If you had dozed just for a second you could have sworn you were watching a replay of Ethan Brookes's wicket because that was exactly the same.

For the record the previous post said "pushing half-heartedly at a delivery aimed at a virtual fourth of fifth stump and edging to John Simpson" and we see no reason to change it.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 10 May

    Brookes c Simpson b Hudson-Prentice 20 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 110-6)

Bit of a tame dismissal with Ethan Brookes pushing half-heartedly at a delivery aimed at a virtual fourth or fifth stump and edging to John Simpson.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 10 May

    Vasconcelos c Hurst b Bailey 0 (Northants 238 & 0-1 v Lancs 276)

Ricardo Vasconcelos ended the Lancashire innings on a high, with two catches - but that hasn't spilled over into Northamptonshire's second dig.

The left-hander is drawn into a shot by Tom Bailey's perfect line and length and he's caught behind for a fourth-ball duck.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 May

    Compton c Kellaway b Harris 7 (Kent 12-2 v Glamorgan 549-9 dec)

You can't keep Ben Kellaway out of this game.

Ben Compton is squared up by a good ball from James Harris and the ball flies to Kellaway at gully, where he takes the catch.

Compton gestures at the pitch as he walks off - but there wasn't much wrong with it during Glamorgan's innings.

  10. 'Yorkshire with a healthy lead'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 May

    Essex 123 v Yorks 216

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

It's a brilliant effort from George Hill.

They'll be delighted, having been in the position they were in but Yorkshire have themselves a healthy lead.

They were in a difficult position 24 hours ago but they've worked really hard to get themselves into the position they're in now.

  11. 50 runs

50 for Abbottpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 10 May

    Notts 333 v Hants 183-9

The situation might not be too good for Hants but the entertainment value has been notched up by Kyle Abbott's cameo.

The South African has his half century with a crunched four through the covers off Brett Hutton.

It has taken just 36 deliveries with seven fours and two sixes and has been wonderful to watch.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 10 May

    Wheal c Verreynne b James 6 (Notts 333 v Hants 178-9)

Similar dismissal to that of Fletcha Middleton before lunch as it gets big on Brad Wheal as he tries to pull and flicks up for a simple catch to Kyle Verreyne.

That is maximum bowling points for Notts with a ninth wicket and the end looks nigh for the visitors who are still six short of taking the follow on off the table.

  13. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 559-5 v Surrey

Nathan Smith is too full on leg stump and Zen Malik effortlessly flicks it over mid-wicket for a maximum.

Having made an unbeaten 49 on debut last week, Malik will be looking for a first half-century here as he moves to 45 not out.

  14. ESSEX ALL OUT FOR 123published at 14:42 British Summer Time 10 May

    Essex 123 v Yorks 216

George Hill, YorkshireImage source, Rex Features

Make that six for George Hill... he hasn't got any runs so far in this game, but he's more than earned his keep with the ball.

Kasun Rajitha lasts just three deliveries before Hill traps him leg before to finish with figures of 6-51.

It means Yorkshire have a very healthy first-innings lead of 93.

  15. 'A key wicket for Sussex'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 10 May

    Sussex 284 v Worcs 97-5

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

That's really the breakthrough that Sussex wanted. That's a huge wicket to get rid of the New Zealand Test player and all of a sudden Worcestershire are in trouble.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice has the knack of picking up these important wickets.

  16. LANCASHIRE ALL OUT FOR 276published at 14:39 British Summer Time 10 May

    Northants 238 v Lancs 276

Harry Conway wraps up the Lancashire innings as Tom Bailey is caught in the slips for a single and the home side have done well to restrict their opponents' lead to 38.

  17. 100 partnership for Warwickshirepublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 10 May

    Warks 553-5 v Surrey

A little bit too much room offered by Cameron Steel and Ed Barnard square cuts for four.

He and Zen Malik have added 100 from 140 balls and Barnard now has 138 not out.

  18. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 10 May

    Kent 12-1 v Glamorgan 549-9 dec

There's not much pace in the pitch at the Spitfire Ground and Ben Compton almost has to wait for the ball to arrive, so early is he into position, as he pulls James Harris for four.

  19. Five-wicket haul for George Hillpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 10 May

    Snater c Bairstow b Hill 6 (Essex 123-9 v Yorks 216)

George Hill, YorkshireImage source, Rex Features

Great work from George Hill, who completes the third five-wicket return of his first-class career!

Shane Snater is caught behind and Essex are nine down.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 10 May

    Nicholls c Simpson b Hudson-Prentice 32 (Sussex 284 v Worcs 97-5)

That is a key breakthrough you feel with the Kiwi looking to anchor the Worcs response.

Henry Nicholls has batted watchfully to date and that was no exception with a solid looking defensive prod but he has played down the wrong line and edged it.

That is 2-27 since lunch and Worcs are in a spot of bother.
