Well, thank you for your company this evening.

We'll be back on Saturday, as England look to salvage some pride from the series finale at Edgbaston. Before then, the men's Test series continues from Lord's tomorrow and we'll be here from 10:30 BST with all the build up to that mouth-watering encounter.

If you missed any of tonight's action, my colleague Sam Drury has got you covered with his match report from Old Trafford.

    Bye for now!

I fear watching this series and watching where England are at the minute.

I thought after the first game that they had a bad day and India had a very good day. But it looks to me that India have become so much better.

So where did it go wrong for England?

Well, their batting simply could not get going. Sophia Dunkley's 22 was the top score, skipper Tammy Beaumont made 20, but they were worn down by India's excellent discipline and crawled to 126-7.

Another five wickets fell to spin - a huge problem for England that they can no longer ignore with the World Cup on the horizon in India.

  4. 'Really proud of my team'published at 21:49 British Summer Time

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "We are really grateful [to win a first T20 series in England]. It was really important for us to get the momentum. I am really proud of my team for the way we played this series and how everyone has contributed.

"We had very good camps back home before coming here and during those camps, we worked on all our plans. We have executed everything accordingly here. We all knew our roles and we all played accordingly.

"We have now played three seasons of the Women's Premier League and every season has been special. We have got a lot of experience from that. All girls have played in the tournament and we are now able to execute that in international cricket as well.

"We need to keep doing the right things over and over again and hopefully, we will keep doing this."

  5. 'We weren't ruthless enough'published at 21:46 British Summer Time

England captain Tammy Beaumont: "Contrasting two games in charge for me. It was always going to be tough to defend that score, I think we needed at least 150 for our spinners to work with.

"Defending a low total like that, you've got to get absolutely everything right [in the field] and we couldn't do that.

"We weren't ruthless enough in the bat. Myself included, a very soft dismissal which just isn't good enough at this level. Credit to India, they bowled really well and kept the stumps in play but we didn't adapt quickly enough to push more twos and keep those partnerships going for longer.

"It's always got something for the slower bowlers here but we thought it might offer a little more. India assessed the conditions quickly and stuck to their plans really well.

"We want to put on a show at Edgbaston, we haven't put in a complete performance yet. Maybe with some pressure off we can go out there and show what we can do. We are without a few key players, we're a team in transition, but it's on all of us to put our hands up and get this team back on track to make it 3-2."

  6. 'We are improving every day'published at 21:43 British Summer Time

Player of the match, India spinner Radha Yadav: "From the start, we were pumped up and looking forward to this game. It was really important for us.

"We are working really hard on every single delivery and it's helping us. It was easy for us today because the conditions were familiar for us to bowl. I am happy for all of us - all the bowlers did really well and we are looking forward to the next game.

"[Fielding] is one part of the game we were trying to get better at. We are putting in a lot of effort to improve each and every day. And it's showing the results."

Radha Yadav is named player of the match for her 2-15.

We'll hear from her, as well as both captains, shortly.

You knew from the first innings England did not have enough on board. They lost wickets in regular intervals as India managed to stop the flow of runs.

And they took full advantage of the powerplay. That was where the game was won. Shafali Verma was outstanding again at the top and then those little partnerships got them over the line.

And my word, India are looking like a good team. They are looking like a team that have played a lot of T20 cricket. You can see the difference of standards from two or three years to now.

Jemimah Rodrigues hits the winning runs and guides India to their first T20 series win in England!

Another dominant performance from the visitors as they get home with three overs to spare, set up by Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana's brilliance in the powerplay.

England, meanwhile, have plenty of questions that need answering - and quickly.

    Need 2 from 21 balls

    No!

Richa Ghosh nails a drive but it's straight to cover... or not. A shocking misfield, straight through the hands, and it's a precious boundary.

    India are almost there.

  12. Ind 121-4published at 16.2 overs

    In the air... but safe.

Two for Richa Ghosh to get off the mark and edge India closer.

That is so unnecessary from India, even to give yourself the stress of it.

Amanjot run out (Dean) 2 (Ind 119-4)

    Silly, silly running.

Amanjot Kaur dabs the ball into the leg side, she should settle for a single and keep Jemimah Rodrigues on strike but for some inexplicable reason, they come back for two.

Amanjot dives, but is miles out of her ground.

    Just unnecessary.

  15. Ind 118-3published at 16 overs

Amanjot Kaur gets off the mark with a single, and will be on strike for the beginning of Sophie Ecclestone's last over.

Is this now or never for England?

    Wong has her revenge!

Harmanpreet Kaur tries to get things done in a hurry but picks out Sophie Ecclestone at mid-off, a pretty soft dismissal.

The captain looks frustrated. Only 10 runs away, she'd have wanted to be there at the end to seal a series win.

England should be the second best team in the world but it looks like India can knock them off that right now.

They have walked this series. India should have taken the third game too, as they were cruising before England won.
