  1. Batting point for Derbyshirepublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 24 May

    Glos v Derbyshire 250-3

Brooke Guest pulls Beau Webster for four and a single for Matt Lamb off Ollie Price at the start of the next over takes the Gloucestershire total to 250.

These two came together at the downfall of Wayne Madsen for a duck and have laid the foundation for a big first-innings score by the visitors.

  2. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 17-0 v Surrey 127

Dan Worrall's line strays a little as he angles one across Fletcha Middleton who flicks it off his pads through midwicket for his second boundary.

Middleton played a match-winning knock at Trent Bridge last week and he's looked untroubled so far. He's moved to 11 and Toby Albert remains becalmed on two.

No comms kiss of death, please.

Nine overs in and the Surrey bowlers have still to hit their straps.

  3. 6 runs

Six to get Jordan Cox off the markpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 24 May

    Kent v Essex 182-2

Jordan Cox had spent nine deliveries back at Canterbury on a duck but gets off the mark with a towering six after launching a ball from Matt Parkinson over the ropes at long-on.

    That's the Jordan Cox way.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Migael Pretoriuspublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 162-9

Migael Pretorius is a decent bat - he has made a first-class century.

And after swinging Callum Parkinson through square leg for four, he pushes the ball away for a couple more and reaches 50 off 60 balls.

He has batted well, but whether the shortcomings of Somerset's top order can be overcome when only become clear when Durham have to bat on this pitch.

  5. Postpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 154-9

Ben Stokes round the wicket to Jack Leach.

The left-hander edges to second slip - it's straight into the hands, and straight out again.

Wonder what Stokes makes of that.

  6. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 11-0 v Surrey 127

Three more dots for Jordan Clark, but then he loses his line.

Fletcha Middleton says thank you very much and flicks it off his pads for the first boundary of the innings.

Middleton then takes a single off the last.

Hampshire would love to get in unscathed at tea.

  7. 'Lyon always plotting'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 24 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 50-1

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Nathan Lyon always seems to be plotting.

What a marvellous career he's made for himself.

  8. wicket

WICKET Davey lbw Stokes 10published at 15:21 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 154-9

You can't keep him out of the game for long.

Josh Davey plays slightly down the wrong line and Ben Stokes has his third wicket of the innings.

England team-mate Jack Leach is the Somerset number XI. Will Stokes ease off a bit? Don't bet on it.

  9. 50 runs

50 up for Warwickshirepublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 24 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 50-1

Just the five runs off Nathan Lyon's first couple of overs but still not much in the way of jeopardy for the Bears batters.

Rob Yates might be kicking himself in the dressing room. His one second of misjudgement is the only thing preventing this from having been a perfect start.

  10. Postpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 154-8

A change of approach by Durham as Callum Parkinson is called up to bowl his first over of left-arm spin in the game.

Josh Davey uses his feet well but is denied a boundary by Alex Lees' diving stop at mid-on.

It's a good over by Parkinson. Just two singles from it.

  11. Postpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 6-0 v Surrey 127

Just the one scoring shot off the bat - a couple from Toby Albert - in the first five overs.

But importantly for Hampshire, they've had no serious scares from Dan Worrall and Jordan Clark. Yet.

Let's not forget that the new ball didn't offer much early doors for the Hants pacemen.

  12. wicket

WICKET: Browne b Evison 65published at 15:17 British Summer Time 24 May

    Kent v Essex 170-2

Stumps everywhere. Joey Evison gets one to move in the air and then nip back at Nick Browne who drives past the ball and sees his stumps rearranged for him.

A fine ball which brings an end to Nick Browne's stint. No Canterbury century for him this year.

Former Kent man Jordan Cox strides out to the middle in near silence, joining Tom Westley.

  13. 50 for Cheteshwar Pujarapublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 24 May

    Middx 188-4 v Sussex

It's a celebration we've seen many, many times.

Cheteshwar Pujara pushes forward to the first ball of Ryan Higgins' 15th over and rushes through for a quick single.

It brings up his second half-century of the season off a typically patient 103 balls.

Just the 81 first-class half-centuries and it's putting Sussex in a strong position at Lord's.

  14. 50 for Kiran Carlsonpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 24 May

    Leics v Glam 211-3

Kiran Carlson has reined it in a bit after Eddie Byrom's wicket fell, but he reaches his third fifty of the season off a rapid 45 balls.

He slashes at a wide one from Ben Mike and it passes the despairing dive of first slip before racing to the third man boundary.

    It's the 23rd first-class half-century of his career.

  15. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 24 May

Ben Stokes is bowling a really tidy spell but hasn't yet managed to add to the two wickets he claimed this morning.

There are three runs for Josh Davey from his latest over - Davey is seven not out and Migael Pretorius is on 41.

  16. Postpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants 4-0 v Surrey 127

With Kemar Roach out with a slight niggle, Jordan Clark is promoted to open the Surrey bowling.

Fletcha Middleton hits his final ball hard, but it's straight to the man at mid-on.

Maiden over and a tidy start.

  17. 'A real bonus for Tom Bailey'published at 15:08 British Summer Time 24 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 40-1

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

It was a misjudgement from Rob Yates and to his horror that's gone on and clattered the off-stump from around the wicket.

It didn't straighten or shape away from Yates, he just carried on going.

That's a real bonus for Lancashire and for Tom Bailey who is back in the side.

  18. 150 runs

150 up for Yorkshirepublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 24 May

    Northants v Yorkshire 152-1

Justin Broad strays onto Shan Masood's pads and the Yorkshire skipper flicks it away to the short boundary at backward square for four. Easy runs and Masood's partnership with Adam Lyth - who is 85 not out - has so far added 66.

  19. Postpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 24 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 43-1

13 overs into the day and Keating Jennings looks to be considering a change of tack. The first wicket was a bit of a gift, rather than anything particularly inspirational.

Spinners loosening up as the lights blaze out under leaden skies. Here comes Nathan Lyon...

  20. 200 up for Glamorganpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 24 May

    Leics v Glam 200-3

Despite those two wickets post-lunch, Glamorgan remain in the box seat as it stands.

Sam Northeast takes a single off Ian Holland and brings up the 200 in the 48th over.
