I was sure that India wouldn't lose. It was a brilliant morning and that's what set it up. it will have an immense effect on Shubman Gill as captain. First win at Headingley, it's a great win for India cricket.

We'll have all the reaction and presentations coming up shortly. Michael Atherton on Sky Sports says England should have "made a better fist of batting out the final day" on this pitch given 10 overs were lost to a rain delay this morning.

Shubman Gill has done a good job at leading his team and making the correct decisions this game. The series is tied, it's game on.

The narrative of this England team being "arrogant" is pretty sad in my opinion. They're pioneering a new positivity and excitement for the five-day game and making it exactly that... A five-day game. Enjoy England being enjoyable, win or lose.

As expected, pitch deterioration has played its part in making batting tougher on day five. The first session began with a rating of 3.6, aided by the pitch being covered and the use of the roller. However, the second session saw a spike in rating to 5.1 - the highest rated session of the match - with the bounce inconsistency rating reaching 6.3, the second highest for any session after the third session on day 4 (6.5).

India have been absolutely outstanding at Edgbaston.

England will need to dust themselves down for Lord's on Thursday.

Fantastic victory for India. Akash Deep has picked up another one, what a glorious game for him. England outplayed by a superb India performance. They have dominated for most of the time here.

Brydon Carse skies Akash Deep with a bit of a filthy hack.

Shubman Gill pouches the catch and celebrates.

Deep has 10 wickets in the match and is beaming from ear to ear as he stretches out his arms and looks skywards.

Clearly Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir are taking the opportunity to take some shots.

Brydon Carse has got some ability with the bat. He's one of those players that you feel he could do more with his batting than he does. He certainly has the shots for it.

Nice to see lots of laughs in the England dressing room. If I was about to lose a Test by 300-odd runs, I would have a face like thunder.

England have somehow survived another over.

The fans who have turned up at Edgbaston are getting value for their money with some of this late entertainment.

Ravindra Jadeja fizzes a delivery past the edge of Shoaib Bashir's bat.

The England number 11 defends the next few balls before an almighty slog sweep which would have gone for six and out of the ground... had he connected.

Have we not been entertained by England? Summoning up my most extreme Postecoglou here to explain England's preference for 1-1 over 1-0.
