It's tough out there this morning, it's set up for an exciting day of cricket.

Josh Da Silva has a big smile on his face but he is not faring well now England have got this ball moving.

After two plays and misses against Gus Atkinson in the previous over, Chris Woakes goes past the edge three balls in a row.

Conditions could not be much more different to yesterday. This is definitely a bowling day and the over ends with Da Silva driving loosely outside off to be beaten again.

Good bowling from Atkinson, encouraging signs, he's doing something here this morning.

  4. WI 369-7published at 92 overs

Snorter from Gus Atkinson to beat Josh Da Silva all ends up.

Banged in just back of a length, angled in at the stumps and then nipping away just past the edge.

And again! Really good bowling from Atkinson to square up Da Silva, who is fortunate not to have nicked either of those two beauties.

I'm looking forward to how Joseph bats, at Lord's he was there for a good time, not a long time.

If he makes shots like that he'll be brilliant.

Chris Woakes offers Alzarri Joseph a gift to get off the mark.

A leg-stump half-volley that Joseph puts away smartly through mid-wicket.

Decent comeback from Woakes with a nip-backer that Joseph just gets an inside edge on, turning that into a single rather than a plumb lbw.

Harry Brook worked hard on his fitness during his time away from the game. He might have turned himself into the best fielder in this team.

    Really good catch from Brook.

We've said how late Sinclair's been playing the ball. That's a classic Trent Bridge dismissal, he thought he hit it pretty well but his feet weren't set.

At another ground he might've got away with it.

    WICKETpublished at 90 overs

    Sinclair c Brook b Atkinson 4 (WI 362-7)

Very sharp catch from Harry Brook in the gully.

Kevin Sinclair went for the big drive as Gus Atkinson offers up a full delivery outside off stump.

The batter doesn't quite get to the pitch of it and the ball flies off the outside edge and Brook takes it at shoulder height, slightly to his right.

Pope fielded that very well but he had to throw it flat on his stomach from the ground.

  13. WI 360-6published at 89 overs

Run out chance! Kevin Sinclair drives at a full but very wide ball from Chris Woakes but rather plinks it into the covers.

Ollie Pope still has to scramble to his left to cut it off and was still on the deck as he threw it. Good effort but just off the mark with Sinclair a long way short of his ground.

  14. WI 358-6published at 88 overs

A pair of singles from Gus Atkinson's latest. The fast bowler will need to take the last four wickets in the innings if he is to continue his record of taking a five-for (or better) in every Test innings he's bowled in...

He did find Kevin Sinclair's edge early in this over but the ball bounced well short of the slips.

Kevin Sinclair is the new batter for West Indies and gets off the mark with a single from the last ball of a successful Chris Woakes over.

Sinclair averages 38.7 in first-class cricket so he is useful with the bat but, after that early wicket and with a new ball at their disposal, England will feel more confident of having the edge on first innings now.

Holder will be so disappointed that he got out defending.

It's the start that England needed.

That could've happened so many times yesterday.

After one good shot he's gone, didn't really do anything.

    Holder c Smith b Woakes 27 (WI 355-6)

    Edged and gone!

Not a huge amount of lateral movement but Jason Holder props himself forward and gets a feather of an edge through to Jamie Smith.

It was a wobble-seam delivery from Chris Woakes and it did just enough to do for the West Indies all-rounder.

Maiden to start for Gus Atkinson as he keeps Josh Da Silva honest.

Not a huge deal in the way of swing. That might change once the lacquer comes off the new ball.

Mark Wood's left knee and leg was heavily strapped in the warm-up this morning.

A reminder that the quick left the action mid-over last night with what England hoped was just cramp.

He is out fielding this morning, though.
