That is a poor from run out. There was something there, there was a bit more about New Zealand, but they just weren't able to avoid losing wickets in clumps.

  2. wicket

Gaze run out 25 (NZ 103-8)

Last ball had to run situation.

Tahuhu punts forwards and sets off, Smith gathers and throws to Amy Jones, who whips the bails off on the spin.

Gaze was well short running from the bowler's end.

  3. NZ 103-7published at 19.5 overs

Hundred up from the penultimate ball of the over.

Tahuhu lofts through the covers - Ecclestone runs round on the boundary, makes a rather strange one-handed attempt at a catch, the ball breaking through her fingers and over the ropes for four.

That was barely umpire's call. That's great umpiring, there's doubt there, so that does become not out.

  5. Not outpublished at 19.4 overs

Is sliding down - umpire's call though!

  6. Umpire reviewpublished at 19.4 overs

Last over "why not?" review for lbw against Lea Tahuhu.

Looks to be sliding down, but they'll take a look.

  7. NZ 99-7published at 19.3 overs

Linsey Smith to finish up for England.

Couple of singles to start with, then Gaze hustles through for another on the third delivery, beating a throw to the non-striker's end.

    Oh, crikey!

Izzy Gaze livens up a previously quiet Ecclestone over, lifting the penultimate ball for six over mid-wicket with a cross-batted swipe.

Danni Wyatt is out there and runs round, but is unable to set herself to either catch or pat the ball away from the boundary. Ecclestone seems to find it amusing, at least.

  9. NZ 87-7published at 18 overs

Three singles from this Dani Gibson over.

Simply not enough for this stage of the game.

Can anyone tell me why we are playing this very poor NZ squad who have been thoroughly beaten in the ODI and IT20 series of matches! In my opinion, it is very disappointing for the fans to watch such poor opposition!

  11. NZ 84-7published at 17 overs

New batter Lea Tahuhu sends the final ball of the over into the covers to take two, and that's Glenn done for the day.

She finishes with figures of 4-19 from her four overs - cracking stuff.

Full credit to Sarah Glenn. It is something that we talk about, she never gives the ball away, it is always wicket to wicket. She is always in the game. I think it's fantastic the way she goes about her game. Then, she can play with her field a little bit as well.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.5 overs

    Jess Kerr b Glenn 1 (NZ 82-7)

And now a second two-wicket over for Glenn!

Jess Kerr is her victim on this occasion, bowled with a skiddy one while trying to play across the line.

    Fantastic stuff from the leg-spinner.

Do you think it gets to a point with Sarah Glenn where maybe we don't have a go at Sarah Glenn's first ball? How many times do we need to say, 'oh, maybe that was not my best option'? You are asking a lot from the first ball of a new spell. The partnership is building and then you do that.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.1 overs

    Green c Gibson b Glenn 24 (NZ 80-6)

A third wicket for Sarah Glenn!

Green chases the delivery and tries to loft the ball over long-on, but hasn't got the heft and Dani Gibson takes the catch running in.

  16. NZ 80-5published at 16 overs

No boundaries from this Linsey Smith over, though.

Green almost makes it, but the ball is cut off at the cover boundary and the batters have to settle for three.

From this position, 120 is the minimum New Zealand need to get to. It has been 10s and 12s from here.

  18. NZ 72-5published at 15 overs

Hello, what's all this Izzy Gaze?

She lofts Lauren Bell for two fours down the ground, the first over long-off, the second over long-on.

New Zealand desperately need to accelerate to set something vaguely competitive, and that over has helped a tad.

Another quiet over, just the three singles off Sarah Glenn's bowling.

  20. NZ 59-5published at 13 overs

Linsey Smith comes back into the attack and Green crashes through the covers for four.

Just the fourth boundary of the innings.
