  1. Postpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 23 May

    Yorks v Notts 123-5

One, two, three, for, five on the board at Headingley

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 23 May

    Clark c Rew b Davey 15 (Durham 185-6 v Somerset)

    Strangled.

Two balls after a back-cut for four, Graham Clark is out.

It's very wide down the leg side and Clark follows it. James Rew takes it and is convinced (obviously) there a bit of bat in it.

Clark doesn't look so sure (obviously) but up goes the finger and off he goes.

Durham are six down and struggling to make it much past 200.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 23 May

    Verreynne b Hill 1 (Yorks v Notts 121-5)

George Hill takes a wicketImage source, Rex Features

Apologies to George Hill for crediting Jordan Thompson with his last wicket but that is definitely his and it is the dangerous Kyle Verreynne.

Yorkshire are piling on the pressure here with a third wicket since lunch after Hill gets that to jag back sharply and it has got through pad and bat.

  4. 50 runs

for Sam Hainpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 23 May

    Worcestershire v Warwickshire 129-2

Sam Hain brings up his first half-century of the season with a glance to deep square leg off Matthew Waite.

His knock has come off 79 balls with seven fours and one six.

After a circumspect start he's starting to look ominous.

  5. 'Mike Burns has the finger straight up there, it's plumb.'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 23 May

    Surrey v Essex 146-7

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Harmer has not offered a shot and it has just brushed that front pad.

If you do not offer a shot then you bring the umpire into play.

Mike Burns has the finger straight up there, it's plumb.

A misjudgement of line and length.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 23 May

Harmer lbw Curran 0 (Surrey v Essex 146-7)

    Sam CurranImage source, Rex

Big misjudgement by Simon Harmer in conditions where the ball is swinging.

He plonks his front foot down the pitch but doesn't offer a shot with the bat and the umpire upholds Sam Curran's appeal.

Essex haven't reached 200 in three of their last four innings and it looks like a worrying trend may be continuing today.

  7. 50 runs

for Sam Northeastpublished at 43.3 overs

    Glamorgan 143-3 v Middlesex

Was there a slight miscue? It doesn't matter, it goes for four anyway.

Sam Northeast reaches 50 from 109 balls with an uppish pull off Toby Roland-Jones.

Kiran Carlson drives Naavya Sharma for four in the next over and this partnership is now worth 91.

  8. 'Nice to see Robinson back in the runs'published at 14:44 British Summer Time 23 May

    Durham 169-5 v Somerset

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ollie Robinson has come out and played aggressively this afternoon. He reached his half century in 52 balls and hit nine fours before falling to the bowling of Matt Henry.

He was caught behind by the diving James Rew after chasing a wide one. He'd put on 56 runs with Colin Ackermann, who has 14.

Today's half century comes on the back of a century in the win against Notts last weekend and a fifty in the draw at Hampshire three weeks ago.

It's nice to see him back in the runs after a few months of struggle with the bat. But it would have been better to see him push on this afternoon.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 23 May

    Fuller b Crocombe 0 (Hants 133-7 v Sussex)

    Henry CrocombeImage source, Getty Images

A third in six balls for Henry Crocombe and this time he sends middle stump flying.

James Fuller tries to jab his bat down but it is all a little too late with the ball already uprooting his middle peg behind tardy defences.

  10. 100 runs

for Northantspublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 23 May

    Northamptonshire 104-4 v Gloucestershire

Northants needed a strong start to the afternoon and they've had one.

They added 33 since lunch with James Sales going well on 34.

Saif Zaib has offered decent support too and it's the left hander who's calmly tucked one off his hip for single to get the home side to three figs.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 23 May

    Haynes lbw b Hill 9 (Yorks v Notts 119-4)

Jack Haynes will not want to put that on his highlights reel, padding up to a ball from George Hill which nips back and hits in front of off.

That feels like it has swung the match Yorkshire's way with two wickets since lunch.

  12. Stokes not fit enough for Durham but is for England?published at 14:40 British Summer Time 23 May

    Durham 168-5 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

I thought it curious that Ben Stokes has not played at all the past few weeks, especially as he's been fit enough to play as a batter...?

Martin Emmerson: He stopped drinking for a time and is now looking as lean and fit as I have ever seen him.

I would have expected if he was going to play for England against Zimbabwe that he would play at least one or two games for Durham.

His win record when he plays for Durham is poor, there is quite a few defeats in there.

Readers where would you have found a slot to fit Ben Stokes into this pretty gun Durham top seven, especially had he not been fit to bowl the past seven rounds...?

  13. No hat-trickpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 23 May

    Hants 131-6 v Sussex

Henry Crocombe goes for another yorker but just overpitches turning it into a low full toss which James Fuller blocks away towards midwicket.

He may not have a hat-trick but that double wicket burst has broken open the Hampshire line-up.

    Sussex batting tonight. Looks likely.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 23 May

    Thain c Foakes b Worrall 3 (Surrey v Essex 143-6)

    Another one gone.

Noah Thain tries to drive a ball from Dan Worrall and a bit of late away swing is his undoing.

Four catches now for Ben Foakes and that was, perhaps, the easiest.

Michael Pepper leans his bat against the stumps at the bowler's end as he contemplates Essex's predicament.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 23 May

    Albert b Crocombe 0 (Hants 131-6 v Sussex)

    And another.

That was a superb ball to get first up, fired in full and on the toes and it has got through to remove off stump and Henry Crocombe is on a hat-trick.

    Drum roll please...

  16. Postpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 23 May

    Durham 161-5 v Somerset

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

They do not have enough runs on the board for me to be five wickets down.

Somerset will be happy with this.

It will be interesting to see what a good score turns out to be.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 23 May

    Dawson b Crocombe 30 (Hants 131-5 v Sussex

Is there a better sight that that?

Assuming you are not a Hampshire fan or a member of Liam Dawson's immediate or extended family of course, probably not.

A peach of a delivery angles back in sharply and sends the off stump cartwheeling away toward fine leg.

  18. 'Runs not flowing, it's still moving a bit.'published at 14:33 British Summer Time 23 May

    Yorks v Notts 114-3

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Feels like a delicate, tense stage of the day.

Runs not flowing, it's still moving a bit.

Yorkshire desperate for another breakthrough but the Notts pair hanging in there at the moment.

Jack White bowled a miserly spell of eight overs, 1-8 earlier, he's now replacing Jordan Thompson for his second spell.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 23 May

    Robinson c Rew b Henry 52 (Durham 161-5 v Somerset)

50 and out for Ollie Robinson.

Three balls after reaching his half-century Robinson aims a big drive at Matt Henry and gets a healthy outside edge.

James Rew flies to his right and takes an excellent catch.

Robinson's feet get a little stuck in the crease but that's a top take from Rew.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Robinsonpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 23 May

    Durham 161-4

Nice knock this from Ollie Robinson.

He's perhaps saved his worse shot for the one that's got him to 50 - an uppish waft that's gone over the slips to the fence.

It's come off 52 balls with nine fours.
