    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 163-5

Craig Overton is having a go, a good idea against Washington Sundar perhaps.

Maybe not, as the Indian flicks away for four. That is boundary number seven for Sundar - who must he wondering why Nick Gubbins and Ben Brown blocked their way through the first two sessions.

Overton is fired up. He has words on his way back to his mark, and then shapes to throw back at the stumps in his follow-through after the next delivery.

    Lancashire 375-5d v Middlesex 211 & 46-1

Tom Aspinwall has a leg slip in for Luke Hollman, and he is in the game.

The left-hander flicks one off his hip but it doesn't carry to the catcher.

Arav Shetty is into the attack as Lancs desperately chase wickets.

  4. Bad light stops play at Hovepublished at 16:02 BST 18 September

    Sussex 250 v Yorkshire 194 & 109-3

They've had the lights on at Hove ever since play started after lunch.

But the umpires aren't satisfied that it is good enough to continue for the time being and the players go off.

This will allow Jonny Bairstow to get a bit of treatment on his leg in the dressing room.

  5. Postpublished at 15:57 BST 18 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 158-5

Washington Sundar, with tape covering the India badge on his helmet, is treating this like any other match.

He is feeling absolutely zero pressure in this situation.

That situation being, Hampshire needing to bat out at least 21 overs, Somerset needing five wickets.

Another crucial batting point in their search for survival.

  9. Postpublished at 15:50 BST 18 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 149-5

Hampshire don't need runs in their situation but Washington Sundar is enjoying facing Archie Vaughan.

A stabbed on drive and a punchy back froot drive to the ropes takes him into the 20s.

At the other hand, Felix Organ has found his forward defence and is practising it over and over again.

  10. 'Get the ball in the right areas'published at 15:49 BST 18 September

Somerset have to be patient here and not try to force it.

    Sharma lbw b Charlesworth 22 (Gloucs 241 v Northants 206 & 175-6)

That looked a tad leg side to me.

  16. Postpublished at 15:43 BST 18 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 137-5

Indian batters are famed for their way of dealing with spin, but even for an Indian batter, Washington Sundar is noted for his mastery against spinners.

Hampshire couldn't ask for many better players in world cricket to be facing Jack Leach and Archie Vaughan right now.

He has settled in quickly with 10 off 17 balls.

  18. Worcestershire turn to their ninth bowlerpublished at 15:39 BST 18 September

    Durham 280-3 v Worcs 591-9 dec

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's purely about batting points now at Chester-le-Street and Durham have 38 overs remaining in which to try to reach 450.

They need 4.5 runs an over to do it and are going along at 4.8.

Worcestershire's task has not been helped by the fact Brett D'Oliveira injured his ankle after one delivery earlier and can't bowl. He's not on the field.

They have now used nine bowlers, including Kashif Ali. I had him down as a leggy but he's bowling medium pace. Daniel Lategan is bowling for the first time in a championship match as well.

Emilio Gay has just added two runs to take his total to 151. And with Hampshire five down at Somerset, a defeat for them and a draw here would see Durham out of the bottom two. And any bating points would be an added bonus.

  19. 150 runs

for Emilio Gaypublished at 15:38 BST 18 September

    Durham 279-3 v Worcs 591-9 dec

Another landmark for the stylish Emilio Gay.

A couple through the off side take him past 150.
