    Has Jofra Archer got it?

Corbin Bosch pulls out of a pull shot but has he feathered edge behind?

England appeal, nothing from the umpire, but they're going to take a look as they've got reviews to burn.

  2. SA 61-8published at 17.1 overs

Corbin Bosch isn't going to let Jofra Archer have it entirely his own way.

He drives the seamer's opening delivery back into the pitch and through mid-on for four.

He's just toying with them Adil Rashid, as he can.

It's a walk in the park for him.

Such a stalwart in this team in the bowling attack.

'He's just toying with them' - Rashid bowls Yusuf for five

    Through the gate!

Codi Yusuf takes a step forward to play a textbook forward defence and is still in that position after Adil Rashid's ball passes between bat and body and hits the stumps.

Nandre Burger walks out - we've got one South Africa wicket to go with Temba Bavuma unavailable, and hello, Jofra Archer's coming back to try and finish the job...

My colleague Matthew Henry referenced the same match at 14:02, but to follow-up on Vic's point...

South Africa were victorious in the first two ODIs in their series in Australia in August, then conceded 431 in the final match and got themselves bowled out for 155, losing by 276 runs.

    The scorecard's here.

South Africa have been accused of various shortcomings over the years but this is a new one - a 'dead-rubber syndrome'.

Just a little bit out of focus, proven by the odd dropped catch earlier.

  7. SA 52-7published at 16 overs

Corbin Bosch sends Jamie Overton's second ball to mid-wicket to bring up South Africa's 50.

After a rather gloomy few hours, the field is suddenly bathed in sunshine but there's also a big dark cloud behind the ground.

The forecast is still reasonable though, so I'm not sure South Africa are going to escape this one.

  8. SA 49-7published at 15 overs

Adil Rashid sends down four dot balls to new batter Codi Yusuf to end the over.

The South African number nine has no sponsor on his bat, but he does have a first-class top score of 84...

Rashid dismisses Maharaj for 17 as England close in on massive win

Just like England, South Africa lose a wicket two balls after the first drinks...

Bit of a different scenario - England were 117-2 when Jamie Smith went.

It's a second-ball wicket for Adil Rashid too, with Keshav Maharaj clipping a simple slip catch to Joe Root.

    SA 48-6published at 14 overs

Keshav Maharaj adds another boundary to his tally as we go into drinks, guiding Jamie Overton's final ball somewhat untidily over the keeper and cordon.

A chance now for everyone to take a breath.

  13. dropped catch

Bosch dropped on fourpublished at 13.1 overs

    SA 43-6

Jamie Overton should have a wicket with his first ball!

Corbin Bosch gloves a chance down the leg side and a diving Jos Buttler puts it down on the dive.

He almost seemed to go too far there, the ball ended up too close to the England wicketkeeper's body.

51/60 dot balls in the opening 10 overs. Surely a record?

  15. SA 43-6published at 13 overs

What can we get from Jofra Archer's seventh over?

No wicket, unfortunately - with one run from a leg-side bouncer as he bowls to Keshav Maharaj.

He's still in the high 80mphs - will he take another?

  16. SA 42-6published at 12 overs

Keshav Mahraj gets off the strike with a single before Corbin Bosch fires the over's final ball straight back at Brydon Carse, jagging away off the bowler having bounced, with no run taken.

Hello, Jofra Archer's trip to the dressing room was a brief one - he's back on the field and is going to take another over...

  17. SA 41-6published at 11.4 overs

    Why not, Keshav Maharaj?

He works Brydon Carse through mid-on for four and then launches the next delivery over the square leg for six.

    Sir Alastair Cook
Ex-England captain on Test Match Special

You can almost understand how this has happened today - with it being a dead rubber, England having a load of batting talent and a good wicket.

England can do this to any side, no doubt - it's the consistency that this England one-day side need.

If Archer bowls like this in the Ashes I fancy our chances.

  20. SA 28-6published at 11 overs

Jofra Archer's first ball sears over the top of Corbin Bosch's off stump, but the South Africa number seven smacks the next delivery through point for four.

The only scoring shot of the over and that's Jofra done for now - he's walking off with first spell figures of 4-9 from six overs with three wicket maidens.
