...but he goes for a duck today!

Aiden Markram gets a second-baller, taking a big waft at a wide-ish off side delivery and edging behind to Jos Buttler.

The pressure of the big target?

Right then, time to get going again.

Jofra Archer is going to open the bowling for England, bowling to Aiden Markram with Ryan Rickelton at the other end.

Markram is in good form, having scored 86 and 49 in the first two ODIs.

When I was growing up I'd always be drawn to the flair players, but at the end of your career you look back and wish you were more of a Joe Root - to have that consistency.

South Africa's successful chase of 435 against Australia in Johannesburg in 2006 remains the only successful 400+ chase in ODIs.

Meanwhile, England's chase of 359 against Pakistan at Bristol in 2019 is the highest successful chase in England.

  10. Eng 414-5published at 50 overs

The 19 wides have come back to haunt South Africa.

They had to bring up an extra fielder for the last over because of their slow over rate and as a result, four boundaries come from it.

Jos Buttler finishes the innings with three of them to finish unbeaten on 62 from 32 balls, and after all that carnage, South Africa need 415 to win.

A lot of damage done there by Joe Root.

South Africa's catching has been flawed, but not there.
