    Sussex 60-5 v Hants 226

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Daniel Hughes couldn't believe it but that's a huge wicket. He had a good hard look but Kyle Abbott has got the wicket. I think Hughes was actually cross with himself, he slammed his bat into his pad.

Sussex are in deep, deep trouble.

    Hughes lbw Abbott 21 (Sussex 60-5 v Hants 226)

Kyle Abbott strikes again and Sussex are in danger of capitulating.

Daniel Hughes is forward to block into the off side and struck on the knee in front of off stump.

    Looked close... and given.

Sussex captain John Simpson will try to steady the ship.

    Worcs 182 v Notts 69-2

Freddie McCann is troubled bit by Ben Allison, who draws him forward to get him playing and missing outside the off stump.

But the last ball is in the slot and driven through wide long off for four.

Sliced that shot a bit but plenty of power and timing.

  5. Postpublished at 10:56 British Summer Time 9 September

Tight stuff from Yorkshire so far this morning - just four runs conceded from six overs and the bonus of James Rew's early wicket.

    Worcs 182 v Notts 63-2

Freddie McCann takes three fours off Tom Taylor's latest over, driving with a thick edge wide of the slips, via a more controlled steer and finally with a crunching cut through point.

Durham have added 17 this morning but Essex picked up the two wickets they needed.

The hosts have extended their advantage in this basement battle to 13 points.

    Porter finishes with 4-77.

Essex will now seek to bat long, and quickly, you'd imagine. Durham want early wickets.

    Sussex 56-4 v Hants 226

Sussex passed the 50 mark in 25.1 overs via a back foot cover drive from Tom Alsop for four runs off James Fuller.

Joe Clarke is in at four for Notts.

Lovely stroke from Graham Clark as Jamie Porter overpitches slightly, allowing Clark to punch to the long-off rope for four runs.

Porter responds by getting one to shape away from the right-hander who wafts his bat but survives the scare and cashes in with a lovely cover drive for another boundary.
