    Worcs 182 & 20-0 v Notts 207

Rehaan Edavalath works Josh Tongue leg side for one and Jake Libby drives on the other side of the wicket for one more.

A decent over from Tongue, making the batters play at nearly every ball with good pace and accuracy.

  2. 'Goldsworthy has justified his return'published at '

    Somerset 298-5 v Yorks

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Lewis Goldsworthy swept once too often and Rob Bailey wasted no time at all in lifting the finger of doom.

Goldsworthy has certainly justified his return to Somerset's County Championship side.

  3. Resumption at The Ovalpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 63-0 v Warwickshire 248

Michael Booth takes the ball after the interval, with Rory Burns on strike, picking up a couple from the first ball of the session to move to 35* and the lead past 60.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 97.2 overs

Goldsworthy lbw Moriarty 65 (Somerset 298-5 v Yorks)

Yorkshire badly needed that wicket - Lewis Goldsworthy tries to sweep a ball from spinner Dan Moriarty and is leg before.

He put on 143 with Tom Abell, who is 69 not out and has been joined by Kasey Aldridge.

  5. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time

    Worcs 182 & 18-0 v Notts 207

Dillon Pennington is into his third over and Jake Libby pushes defensively into the off side.

The fourth ball is pulled to mid on off the toe end of the bat and there's no run.

Two driven sweetly to deep cover.

Libby plays and misses outside off. The innings gap is down to seven.

Josh Tongue replaces Mo Abbas at the Diglis End.

  6. 100 partnership for Leicestershirepublished at 44 overs

    Leics 191-3 v Glos 482

Excellent timing by Shan Masood, who guides a wide ball from Ajeet Singh Dale through the covers for four and brings up a century stand with Lewis Hill.

Singh Dale overpitches at the end of the over and can't get down quick enough to prevent Masood's straight drive from running between his legs and away for another boundary.

  7. 'Champions back in charge'published at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 61-0 v Warwickshire 248

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Three overs before tea, Alex Davies turned to Rob Yates and Dan Mousley, introducing spin for the first time in the match. It was an indication that the rhythm of the game had changed, after four sessions in which the battery of seamers on each team had been dictating terms.

Rory Burns and Dom Sibley put together 61 without seeming to be hurried at any point, making much more convincing progress than Surrey managed even when travelling at five an over yesterday morning. The ball was no longer flying off the outside edge or snaking into the front pad as it had done regularly in each side’s first innings. The champions were back in charge.

They had been irritated for half an hour after lunch by Warwickshire’s last pair, after Dan Worrall finally prised out Will Young, well caught by Ben Foakes. Ollie Hannon-Dalby indulged himself in one cover drive, while Nathan Gilchrist was more daring, and their 32-run stand nudged Warwickshire into the lead just before Hannon-Dalby played round a full toss.

It gave the Bears a spring in their step when they came out to field, but not for long.

  8. Back under way at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time

    Essex 196-3 v Durham 333

Dean Elgar is 100* with Matt Critchley on 24* as Essex seek to whittle away the 137-run deficit.

The sun is still out, for now, but there are showers bubbling up to the north of London, which will be worth keeping an eye on.

  9. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:47 British Summer Time

    Kent 293 v Lancashire 254-8

Kent were on top this afternoon with Matt Quinn's four wickets and three for Matt Parkinson reducing the visitors to 195-8, still 98 runs shy of the hosts' first innings score, with six wickets falling for the addition of 81 runs.

Luke Wells did the majority of the early work with 80, but Will Williams (26*) and Tom Hartley (34*) have put together a fine stand worth 59 for the ninth wicket to reduce the deficit to 39 at tea.

  10. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Worcs 182 & 8-0 v Notts 207

First boundary of the Worcestershire second innings as Mo Abbas is too short and Jake Libby square cuts with authority.

  11. Tea at Northamptonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 467v Northants 165-3

The hosts trail by 302 and Mason Crane took the wickets of Luke Procter and Calvin Harrison.

Hopes of a draw rest with James Sales on one and Saif Zaib unbeaten on six.

  12. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Sussex 122 v Hants 226 & 116-7

James Coles will bowl the last over before tea and Keith Barker alternates between defending on the front foot and back.

He survives the over and Hampshire lead by an already daunting 220, given the nature of this pitch where only one player (Ben Brown) has passed 50.

Hampshire were 2-2 at one point but now seem to be getting away from Sussex.

  13. Tea at Lord'spublished at 70.3 overs

    Middlesex 243-6 v Derbyshire 283

A productive afternoon session for Middlesex, who have added 140, but the loss of Joe Cracknell to the final ball will send Derbyshire in with reason to smile.

Cracknell was caught off debutant Rory Haydon for 40 after adding 80 with Leus du Plooy, who has has tormented his former employers with an unbeaten 74 off 120 balls, including six fours.

  14. Postpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time

    Worcs 182 & 1-0 v Notts 207

Maiden for Mo Abbas and now Dillon Pennington is running in to bowl to Jake Libby.

Libby gets a single to square leg.

Rehaan Edavalath leaves a leg side ball then plays inside the line of a ball that bounces and nips away outside off.

  15. Tea at The Ovalpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 61-0 v Warwickshire 248

    Surrey's session.

They managed to whip Warwickshire out just two runs shy of a batting bonus point, meaning honours even at three bowling points apiece.

Bears did lead by two, thanks largely to Will Young's 72, but Surrey have built a lead of 59, and have a platform to build from, should they wish, with the prospect of poor weather becoming a factor over the final two days.

  16. wicket

WICKET Procter c Karlson b Crane 67published at 15:36 British Summer Time

    (Glamorgan 467 v Northants 158-3)

A second scalp for Mason Crane and it's a big one.

Things are starting to happen for Glamorgan.

Luke Procter closes the face of the bat to try and scoop the ball leg side and pops up a catch to Kiran Carlson at leg slip.

    Saif Zaib is in.

  17. Play resumes at New Roadpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time

    Worcs 182 & 0-0 v Notts 207

Well then... where is this game heading?

The Worcester openers, Rehaan Edavalath and Jake Libby are ready and Mohammad Abbas will bowl to Edavalath.

    The Pears trail by 25.

  18. Postpublished at 91.1 overs

    Somerset 282-4 v Yorks

Four easy runs for Tom Abell as Jack White fires down a leg stump half-volley. There's a boundary in the next over for Lewis Goldsworthy, who comes down the track to Dan Moriarty's left-arm spin and lofts it straight down the ground.

  19. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 59-0 v Warwickshire 248

Slow going at The Oval on what has been a pretty stop-start afternoon in the sunshine.

Rory Burns has 32 from 64 balls, Dom Sibley 23 from 62.

Surrey's lead is 57 with two overs to go until tea.

Dan Mousley is on for some occasional spin to try to conjure a breakthrough.

  20. Postpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time

    Leics 159-3 v Glos 482

Final session of the day at Grace Road.

Ajeet Singh Dale will start a new spell, bowling round the wicket. Left-hander Shan Masood is on strike.
