    Essex 253-3 v Durham 333

Matt Critchley cuts Sam Conners away to the rope at deep backward point for his 10th four to move to 65* and bring up a first batting point for Essex.

They are 80 behind Durham and with 18 overs and change to find another 50 runs for a second point tonight. Depending on the weather forecast tomorrow I wouldn't rule out a push for 400+ at some point either, given their fine platform here.

Dean Elgar remains stoic on 115*.

    Surrey 246 & 92-1 v Warwickshire 248

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It was a good bit of bowling from Ethan Bamber. Warwickshire needed that wicket.

Rory Burns got his side off to a good start but he'll be desperately disappointed again to have gone having gone past 50.

That was the little opening that Warwickshire were desperate for because both of them were looking very, very comfortable.

Josh Tongue gets a play and miss out of Kashif Ali who can't have been more than a coat of varnish away from nicking that.

Warwickshire have life, though they trail by 90 runs.

  18. Postpublished at 53 overs

    Leics 225-3 v Glos 482

Shan Masood is looking in ominous form now. Matt Taylor is just short of a length at the end of his latest over and the left-hander thumps it away through the covers off the back foot for four.

Fuller strokes to cover for two and blocks the last ball.

The spotlight goes back on to Jack.
