The atmosphere in Leeds in superb and for both men too.

Luke Littler has had a few boos this evening because of the Leeds United Manchester United rivalry, but he gets a warm reception ahead of this one.

A lot of for Luke Humphries, who can call Leeds his home night due to his affiliation with the football club.

The rhythm of Luke Littler will suit Luke Humphries and we've seen him lift his levels against Littler before.

Winning in Leeds would be a good catalyst ahead of the play-offs.

I can't see Luke Humphries playing like he just has because he knows he won't be able to get away with that.

We have got the two best players going at it so I'm assuming they will create opportunities and take them.

Luke Humphries' victory has set up a fourth final between him and Luke Littler this season.

They've already met in finals at Glasgow, Exeter and Newcastle this season, as well as facing each other in earlier rounds at Nottingham and Manchester.

If the league table is anything to go by, we could well see these two in the overall final in three weeks at the O2 Arena in London.

    Result: Humphries 6-4 Bunting

Not for the first time tonight, a match that saw both players struggling to find their best form.

Luke Humphries' average was down at 91.94 - as low as I can remember him being in the Premier League this year - with just one 180.

Stephen Bunting averaged 95.7 with two 180s but this one was decided on the outer ring.

Humphries had a checkout percentage of 40%, Bunting's was only 21.1%.

Defeat for Bunting means he's officially out of play-off contention.

It kind of feels like Luke Humphries has fallen over the line there.

  13. Humphries wins to set up Littler finalpublished at 22:31 British Summer Time 8 May
    Breaking

    Humphries 6-4 Bunting

Luke Humphries is still in with a chance of another nightly win in Leeds!

Stephen Bunting had a dart at double 16 to force a decider but that narrowly missed and Humphries was back to take out 56.

    Tops to seal a match-winning 14-darter.

All smiles between good friends Humphries and Bunting at the end but it's Cool Hand through to face Luke Littler in the final for the fourth time this year.

  14. Bunting breaks backpublished at 22:30 British Summer Time 8 May

    Humphries 5-4 Bunting

A match dart comes and goes for Luke Humphries and Stephen Bunting nips in to break.

The Bullet must have thought his chance was gone after misses at double 12 and double six.

But when Humphries fails to get double 16 for a 62 checkout, Bunting is back to hit double three.

    On we go...

  15. Humphries breakspublished at 22:27 British Summer Time 8 May

    Humphries 5-3 Bunting

A break at least - and could it be the crucial one for Luke Humphries?

An 87 out secured with a bullseye and the world's top-ranked player has the darts with a chance to book his place in the final.

  16. Postpublished at 22:25 British Summer Time 8 May

    Humphries 4-3 Bunting

It's seven holds in a row but Luke Humphries did his best to give Stephen Bunting a chance.

Missed doubles on 16 and eight having been so far ahead in the leg let Bunting in.

But he misses with his dart at double 16 and Humphries hits double eight to keep it on throw.

    Jonty Colman

Stephen Bunting is keeping pace well here against the world number one.

The Bullet's main problems have been at the doubles, but his scoring has allowed him room for those misses.

If he starts taking those more clinically, it will be an uphill task for Luke Humphries.

Both players are just causing themselves a little bit of drama.

  19. Postpublished at 22:23 British Summer Time 8 May

    Humphries 3-3 Bunting

Stephen Bunting makes hard work of this one but they all count.

He was in control of it but misses four at double to let Luke Humphries back in... well, give him a look at 160.

No good for the world number one and Bunting comes back and wins the leg on double one.

  20. Postpublished at 22:21 British Summer Time 8 May

    Humphries 3-2 Bunting

Luke Humphries holds but it's another missed chance of a break for Stephen Bunting.

Humphries misses bull for a 164 checkout but returns only to miss darts at double eight then double four.

It gives Bunting two darts for the leg but he misses tops then double 10.

No mistake on double four from Humphries on his next visit.
