    Sublime from Nathan Aspinall!

He finally misses a couple of darts at double but it doesn't matter, he gets double 16 at the third attempt and storms through to the semi-finals.

Luke Humphries can only smile. He knows there was very little he could have done to stop Aspinall in that form.

It's double nine and once that is established, he gathers himself and hits it!

It took 20 darts in the end but he deserves that leg.

Nathan Aspinall knows he's got the break though so he doesn't have to chase. He just has to keep winning on his throw.

    Luke Humphries 1-2 Nathan Aspinall

After an exemplary start to the leg, Luke Humphries looks to be cruising.

He gets down to a double with Nathan Aspinall little more than a speck in the distance.

However, he then makes a complete meal of it before hitting double one to get out of a bind.

Both players get a decent reception ahead of this one. Certainly no loud booing as we saw in the first match!

Nathan Aspinall's walk-on tune, Mr Brightside, always gets the crowd going as well.

Cake by the Ocean by Luke Humphries generally goes down OK as well, although he has mentioned he might be changing it soon. Watch this space.

  15. 'I need to be on my A game'published at 19:42 British Summer Time 25 April

    Luke Humphries v Nathan Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall talking to Sky Sports: "I know what I've got to do. I beat Luke last week when he didn't play that well but I've beat him when he's playing well. I know what the job entails tonight but I need to be on my A game. I've not really done that many times this year so hopefully it all comes together tonight.

"If I win tonight I'll be on 28 points and pretty much in the play-offs. It would be great to leave Liverpool knowing I was pretty much there."

  16. 'A big game for us both'published at 19:41 British Summer Time 25 April

    Luke Humphries v Nathan Aspinall

Luke Humphries talking to Sky Sports: "I have been feeling a little bit tired that's why I am going to miss this weekend's Euro tour event. I am quite close to the play-offs and I know a couple of good weeks would get me there so I am going to concentrate all my energy on the next four weeks and hopefully win the Premier League.

"It is a big game for us both to be honest. If I beat him I'll be stretching away from him but if he beats me he's one point behind. It is a big game and we've both realised that."

Luke Humphries was flying a few weeks back, winning three nights in a row, but has had a bit of a sticky patch recently and threw away a 4-1 lead against tonight's opponent Nathan Aspinall in Rotterdam.

Despite that, he started the night top of the table and looking good to make the play-offs in his debut Premier League campaign.

Meanwhile, Aspinall should be full of confidence after he claimed his second nightly win last week in the Netherlands.

After overcoming a tough start, he is up to third in the table and could take a big step towards cementing a top-four spot tonight.

But he knows that advancing to the semi-finals will be almost impossible if Humphries is at his best.

Aspinall told Sky Sports' Love The Darts Podcast: "Standard-wise, Humphries is the best player in the world by a million miles. When he brings his A-game, we can't beat him."

Result: Luke Littler 6-3 Gerwyn Price

No 180s but Luke Littler still averaged 100.67 in a very professional performance.

He hit 50% of his darts at double and despite none of the big finishes we've come to expect from him, Littler advances and goes top of the table - at least for now.

Gerwyn Price played reasonably well himself but one poor leg with the darts costs him.

He averaged 95.76, hit one 180 and made 37.5% of his darts at double but he bows out.

Luke Littler gets the job done with a consummate hold.

The pressure was on after Gerwyn Price's 140 left him with just 42 but The Nuke was unmoved.

Double 16 seals it and just about puts an end to Price's top-four hopes as well.

He needs to break now, though, if he is to keep this match going.
