Cross 5-6 Aspinall
It's happened again! Rob Cross hits a nine-darter but finds himself dumped out of the semi-final as Nathan Aspinall holds his nerve to take out 70 with just one dart at double 16 to send him through to the final.
Aspinall kicked off the leg with a 180 and although Cross hit one of his own to pile on the pressure, Aspinall was up to the task and completed the job superbly.
He'll now face Luke Littler in the final.

This match deserves a deciding leg and gets a deciding leg.
Cross 5-5 Aspinall
There we go! Rob Cross stop sthe rot with a 112 finish on his favourite double 18 to level the match and take us into a deciding 11th leg.
Who wins from here? Nathan Aspinall has the throw.

Nathan is giving it some now.
Cross 4-5 Aspinall
A Shanghai 120 finish does the job for Nathan Aspinall - hitting the treble first then the single and double top to edge his nose in front and just one away from the final.
Rob Cross is in real danger now of following Luke Humphries and hitting a nine-darter yet still losing the match.
Cross 4-4 Aspinall
We're level again and could Rob Cross go the same way as Luke Humphries? Both of them miss double 16 but then Cross misses three darts at double eight as well.
Nathan Aspinall is still scrapping away as he does, and he lets out a big roar when he nails double four to level the match.
Cross 4-3 Aspinall
Understandably Rob Cross just goes off the boil in the leg after his nine-darter, and he's miles behind as Nathan Aspinall keeps his cool to pull a leg back.
Cross 4-2 Aspinall
Unbelievable! What scenes we've got in Brighton as Rob Cross hits the second nine-darter of the night!
Cross had the first nine-darter thrown against him by Luke Humphries earlier this evening and now he's produced a perfect leg himself.
It's not a huge celebration from Cross himself, who still has a job to do here and he's only too aware that Humphries managed to lose the match after hitting his perfect leg tonight.
Cross 3-2 Aspinall

He's in the mood, Rob Cross.
Cross 3-2 Aspinall
Back-to-back 11-dart legs for Rob Cross sees him win three on the bounce to completely turn this match around.
Nathan Aspinall was bouncing all over the stage earlier, now he's got a bit of a trudge on.
Cross 2-2 Aspinall
And we're level - as Rob Cross produces a similar comeback as he did in the last round, where he also trailed 2-0 against Luke Humphries.
It's a 94 outshot that does the damage on Nathan Aspinall as this time Cross gets home in 11 darts to back-up his 13-darter in the last leg.
Cross 1-2 Aspinall
Two 140s help Rob Cross to bounce back and win a good leg in 13 darts against the Nathan Aspinall throw.
He still looks to be in good form does Cross, but he really needs to sharpen up on that finishing.
Cross 0-2 Aspinall
Laura Turner
Ex-Women's World Championship quarter-finalist on Sky Sports
Nathan Aspinall seems to have got back his fluidity and ability to bounce back on stage.
Cross 0-2 Aspinall
That's a break of throw for Nathan Aspinall and it's thanks to his finishing as he sees off 100 to double his lead after Rob Cross couldn't take out a big 135.
Cross 0-1 Aspinall
Scores of 177 and 171 leave Rob Cross on just 16 after nine darts, but he misses six clear darts at double allowing Nathan Aspinall to eventually catch up and pin double 10 to win the opener.
That will be a sickener for Cross after such a fine scoring start.
Cross v Aspinall
So who will join Luke Littler in the Brighton final?
Both men had great performances in the semis - with Rob Cross beating Luke Humphries despite the world number one throwing a nine-darter.
Cross had seven 180s and averaged over 111, while Nathan Aspinall averaged over 106 to beat Stephen Bunting. If they both play like that again we could have some fireworks here.
Wayne Mardle
Former World Championship semi-finalist on Sky Sports
It looked like a very dispirited Michael van Gerwen. He will not have enjoyed playing like that against the world champion.
Van Gerwen 2-6 Littler
Luke Littler doesn't hang about as he gets to the finish line, with the 18-year-old sticking in an 11-darter to finish off Michael van Gerwen.
A frustrated MVG trudges off the stage no doubt furstrated at the missed chances he had on the few occasions Littler stumbled - you've simply got to take those opportunities to beat the defending champion.
Van Gerwen 2-5 Littler
A moment of almost madness as Luke Littler almost busts his score when sat on 180 as he almost hits three treble 20s.
He gets away with it and wins the leg in 11 darts.
