Good luck keeping up with Luke Littler in this scoring form...

Luke Littler says he hadn't thrown a dart since Sunday's UK Open triumph, before arriving in Brighton.

Of the Premier League, he tells Sky Sports: "It's all about getting into the top four."

Luke Littler was imperious at the UK Open with a tournament average of 104.35 and a whopping 47 180s in six matches.

And the 18-year-old is hoping to bring that 'A' game with him to Brighton tonight.

“I just want to win as much as I possibly can,” said Littler. “I know where my best game is at and it was certainly there last weekend; it meant the world to win the UK Open.

“I’m very happy with the way I played throughout the weekend, but now it’s full focus on the Premier League."

Next up tonight is the wonderboy himself, as Luke Littler takes to the stage fresh off his UK Open victory.

The world champion won the second week in Glasgow but it's been a mixed bag - he's made two finals but also lost two quarter-finals.

Littler was incredible last week in his first two games but slumped in the final against Luke Humphries, while Chris Dobey made the first final of the season but has lost three straight games since then.

Does he stand a chance of stopping Littler?

Michael van Gerwen averages 95.36 to beat Gerwyn Price, with two 180s and 33.3% checkout percentage (6/18).

An obvious story for Price who hit four 180s and average 90.11 but that outer ring proved his downfall as he hit just three of 17 doubles (17.6%) which just won't cut it at this level.

Three darts in hand for Michael van Gerwen to hit double 16 - but he only needs one of them as he hits it first time to make the semi-finals.

A 180 from Gerwyn Price takes his tally to four for the match but Van Gerwen has two 140s and then a wonderful 132 set-up to leave 32.

Just too many missed double from Price to challenge the Dutchman I'm afraid.

Crowd are trying to gee up Gerwyn Price but it's out of his hands now.

Nothing wrong with Gerwyn Price's scoring but these doubles are a huge problem. Luckily for the Welshman Michael van Gerwen has trouble just getting down to a finish and after scratching around misses a dart for the match.

Price misses a hatful but after missing double top, then double 10 he hits double five to stay alive.

A 180 helps Michael van Gerwen get down to a finish first, and after two missed at double 16, including a really akward one hanging over into the eights, he managed to hit double eight to go one away from victory.

Another 180 from Gerwyn Price sets up double 18 for the leg - he has three darts in hand and after two misses he hits with the last one to make it 4-2.

At this level you can't afford to miss multiple darts at double.

Back-to-back 180s leaves Gerwyn Price on a 10-darter, but he's miles off with his doubles - missing five of them in all when MVG can't see-off 70.

Van Gerwen is allowed to return to win the leg in 17 darts and a healthy lead.

Gerwyn Price finally gets a leg on the board as he takes out 76 to reduce the deficit with a 14-darter.

Clinical! That's a 109 checkout finished off on double 16 for Michael van Gerwen to quickly race three in front.

You'd never guess he missed seven doubles in the opening leg...

Two missed doubles for Gerwyn Price enables Michael van Gerwen to step up and take out 75 for a 14-dart break of throw - that's a bit more like it.

MVG missed seven shots at the outer ring in the opening leg but nails his first here to double his lead.

Well, not exactly a classic start that one as Michael van Gerwen eventually wins the first leg of the contest in all of 21 darts!

Things can only get better...

Not much between these two - although in terms of crowd participation MVG has the better walk-on, even though we're all big fans of Vanilla Ice, it's not the sing-a-long the darting spectators love.

This rivalry has been a topsy-turvy one recently - Gerwyn Price won five in a row at one stage but Michael Van Gerwen has won five of the last six.

Consistency has been the main worry for MVG, as the Dutchman hasn't managed to win back-to-back games since the World Championship back in January - that's a run of 15 matches!

So who wins this one? Thumbs up for Price, thumbs down for MVG.
