Summary

  1. Humphries winspublished at 22:10 British Summer Time

    Humphries 6-2 Dobey

One dart at D20 is all Luke Humphries needs.

The final tonight will be the clash of the top two, a battle of the Lukes. Littler v Humphries.

We could not ask for a better way to round off the league phase.

  2. Postpublished at 22:09 British Summer Time

    Humphries 5-2 Dobey

Luke Humphries throws the fifth 180 of this match, then sets up tops with Dobey in the 300s...

  3. Another Humphries breakpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time

    Humphries 5-2 Dobey

Dobey won six successive legs tonight, then lost four on the bounce. Can he form another streak here?

Humphries will want to stamp out that nonsense, he needs 128 to break again. Can't find it.

So Dobey requires 85... but two misses at D14 could be huge.

Humphries punishes Dobey, and is one leg from the final.

  4. Dobey breaks backpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time

    Humphries 4-2 Dobey

Four legs won in a row by Humphries, Dobey will need another big comeback here.

He does get to a finish first in leg six, 130. Not made.

Humphries needs 116, T20 then single 16... but too high on tops.

And Dobey makes the D20 he needs, and that's one break wiped away.

  5. Humphries breaks againpublished at 22:04 British Summer Time

    Humphries 4-1 Dobey

Another 180 from Dobey to start leg five, the crowd briefly hope for a nine-darter. Not this time.

Chris Dobey finds his first 180 of the match, his ninth of the night, and his 700th in the Premier League this season.

Luke Humphries then goes millimetres from a 170 checkout, then sees out the leg on his follow-up visit.

  8. Humphries breakspublished at 22:00 British Summer Time

    Humphries 2-1 Dobey

Luke Humphries throws the first 180 of this match. First of many?

  9. Postpublished at 21:59 British Summer Time

    Humphries 1-1 Dobey

Luke Humphries bites back, setting up three darts at tops.

  14. Identical twins inspired by Littlerpublished at 21:50 British Summer Time

Identical twins Harry and Alfie, from Devon, both dream of becoming professional darts players after being inspired by teenage darts sensation Luke Littler.

They go to Teignbridge Darts Academy in Newton Abbot - one of seven darts clubs set up in the county in 2024. The twins say they practice every day, sometimes for up to six hours.

Alfie said: "I never really thought of playing darts before, and then I saw him on TV and thought, 'Why not?'."

Harry said: "I saw [Littler] in the world championship and then decided to get a dartboard and then took it up from there."

  15. Learning maths with Nathan Aspinallpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time

Nathan Aspinall held a special session at the school of his daughter Milly this week as part of a PDC initiative supporting National Numeracy Day.

Bullseye Maths was introduced in 2022 to teach maths through darts, including in-school sessions, alongside introducing the sport to a new generation.

On Wednesday morning, Aspinall joined Milly and her Year 2 friends at Glossop's Hadfield Infant School.

Aspinall, a former trainee accountant before becoming a professional darts player, led pupils in darts-based exercises.

"Darts and maths do coincide so much, so to have a bit of fun whilst doing maths makes the kids want to learn a bit more," said Aspinall.

"The kids that were here today, everything that they're learning throughout these next few years will all go towards being a bit more savvy with money in the future.

"At school, all I was good at was maths and that's helped me. If you flip it round, hopefully darts can help the kids with maths."

  16. Littler winspublished at 21:45 British Summer Time

    Littler 6-4 Aspinall

Aspinall looks disgusted with himself as Littler bashes in a final 40 to seal the match. But the pair soon embrace and leave the stage together.

Littler has won his last 12 matches against Aspinall. Ominous, considering both are heading to the finals next week.

  17. Postpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time

    Littler 5-4 Aspinall

Littler will get three darts at tops unless Aspinall checks out 98 here.

And the Asp is off his mark...

  18. Postpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time

    Littler 5-4 Aspinall

Urgh, Littler's seventh dart hits single five.

"Simmer down," he says to the crowd. Ha.

  19. Postpublished at 21:43 British Summer Time

    Littler 5-4 Aspinall

Littler starts the 10th leg with a stunning 180. Then another!

    He's on a nine-darter!

  20. Postpublished at 21:42 British Summer Time

    Littler 5-4 Aspinall

Littler lands a brilliant 180 to start leg nine, his first max of the match, and raises both fists to the air.

He gets another go at the 170 checkout, but chucks in a poor 42. Has he lost some concentration?

Of course not! A magnificent 128 follows, and he nonchalantly fist-bumps Aspinall.
