If Chris Dobey claims this night win, he will finish fifth in the overall table - above Michael van Gerwen.

He needs to get past the world number one however.

Identical twins Harry and Alfie, from Devon, both dream of becoming professional darts players after being inspired by teenage darts sensation Luke Littler.

They go to Teignbridge Darts Academy in Newton Abbot - one of seven darts clubs set up in the county in 2024. The twins say they practice every day, sometimes for up to six hours.

Alfie said: "I never really thought of playing darts before, and then I saw him on TV and thought, 'Why not?'."

Harry said: "I saw [Littler] in the world championship and then decided to get a dartboard and then took it up from there."

Nathan Aspinall held a special session at the school of his daughter Milly this week as part of a PDC initiative supporting National Numeracy Day.

Bullseye Maths was introduced in 2022 to teach maths through darts, including in-school sessions, alongside introducing the sport to a new generation.

On Wednesday morning, Aspinall joined Milly and her Year 2 friends at Glossop's Hadfield Infant School.

Aspinall, a former trainee accountant before becoming a professional darts player, led pupils in darts-based exercises.

"Darts and maths do coincide so much, so to have a bit of fun whilst doing maths makes the kids want to learn a bit more," said Aspinall.

"The kids that were here today, everything that they're learning throughout these next few years will all go towards being a bit more savvy with money in the future.

"At school, all I was good at was maths and that's helped me. If you flip it round, hopefully darts can help the kids with maths."

Aspinall looks disgusted with himself as Littler bashes in a final 40 to seal the match. But the pair soon embrace and leave the stage together.

Littler has won his last 12 matches against Aspinall. Ominous, considering both are heading to the finals next week.

Littler will get three darts at tops unless Aspinall checks out 98 here.

"Simmer down," he says to the crowd. Ha.

Littler starts the 10th leg with a stunning 180. Then another!

He's on a nine-darter!

Littler lands a brilliant 180 to start leg nine, his first max of the match, and raises both fists to the air.

He gets another go at the 170 checkout, but chucks in a poor 42. Has he lost some concentration?

Of course not! A magnificent 128 follows, and he nonchalantly fist-bumps Aspinall.

The two friends share a joke on stage at the start of leg eight. This is a glorified friendly really, but both are aiming to put on a show.

Aspinall is first to a finish as he aims to consolidate the break back, he's on 130 with Littler lurking on 170.

The Asp misses the finishing bull, so Littler sets himself, lands one in T20... but not the second.

And Aspinall makes it four-all!

This is a north-west derby, and so far Warrington is beating Stockport.

Luke Littler is enjoying himself, with a fourth wall breaking look to camera after Aspinall saved the last leg.

But Aspinall has raised his game here, and needs 93 to break back. And he makes it!

Luke Littler has had 10 darts at doubles in tonight's meet. He has hit all 10. He's ludicrous.

Aspinall responds with a 180, but there's only so much he can do against the Teenage Tungsten Terminator.

The Asp misses a 62 checkout, but Littler is just wide of bull as he fails to steal. Aspinall rather nervily sees it out.

These men have met five times in the Premier League before tonight. Littler has won all five of them.

And he's on course for another here, setting up a 170 checkout with Aspinall nowhere.

Littler has time to set himself up, and with ice cold precision returns to the board and arrows in 110.

Don't forget Nathan Aspinall has lost 11 times to Luke Littler and sometimes that can really play havoc.

A shrug and a blow of the lips from Aspinall as he chucks in 60. He's very harsh on himself.

Luke Littler gets to a finish first, 107. But he can't find it, so Aspinall needs 46.

Two missed at doubles by the Asp... and Littler punishes him.

Back to back 140s puts Luke Littler in charge of leg three.

Aspinall finds a 140 of his own, and after Littler muffs a 90 check-out Aspinall aims to find 170.

But it's no good, and this time Littler makes no mistake. He's eight from eight at doubles tonight.

Nathan Aspinall aims to fight back with the throw, and sets up a 110 finish. Nothing doing.

So Luke Littler needs 131, but unusually for him tonight it doesn't work out.

And Aspinall is able to find D6 to level the scores.
