The former Masters champion has lost his first match in all three nights so far, with this third straight quarter-final loss last week coming against Luke Humphries despite a ton-plus average.

And it gets no easier for crowd favourite Bunting as he faces Littler tonight hoping to avoid going 0-4 in the Premier League.

Littler paraded his World Darts Championship trophy around the stadium before the Wolves edged Catalans Dragons 18-12 to kick-off their campaign with a win.

Nathan Aspinall is a tough watch at times - he's got a million faces and leaves and breathes every single dart he throws. He never actually looked comfortable up there and especially early on if Chris Dobey coukd hit a double he would have been out of sight.

The stats ended up evening themselves out though, with Aspinall averaging 93.69 with four 180s while Dobey had 92.98 and five maximums so not much in it.

And Dobey actually finished with a better checkout percentage by hitting 5/13 while Aspinall went 6/18.

  16. Going the distancepublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Dobey 5-5 Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall's form falls off a cliff and Chris Dobey can just chip away down to a 90 finish, which he takes out by hitting douvle 15 for the second time in the match.

We're down to a one-leg shootout and Aspinall has the arrows.

    Dobey 4-5 Aspinall

80 is the number again, but this time it's for Nathan Aspinall as a 180 spurs him on towards a finish first and he hits treble 20 and later double five to move one away from victory.

    Dobey 4-4 Aspinall

Chris Dobey finds a fifth 180 and he holds his breath as Nathan Aspinall just fails to take out 136, so he can return to finish off 80.

Luckily he hits the treble 18 with his first dart as inevitably he misses his first effort at double eight, but hits double four to level.

  20. Aspinall edges in frontpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Dobey 3-4 Aspinall

For someone with four 180s already, Chris Dobey misses treble 20 by quite some margin as he tries to finish 119.

Instead, Nathan Aspinall can hold his throw and move in front again after winning a scrappy leg in 20 darts.
