Gerwyn Price had a tough season last year after previously topping the Premier League first phase in 2023, but the signs are he's returning to his best form.

The 2021 world champion won last week in Dublin and has a Pro Tour victory under his belt in 2025, so could we be seeing 'The Iceman' getting hot again?

“I felt like I was playing pretty well last year, but I wasn’t getting the results,” says Price. “I was missing a couple of chances on the doubles and getting punished for it.

“That doesn’t seem to be happening this year. I’m taking my chances, I’m playing really well and the results are coming."

Now they clash in the quarter-finals in Exeter, but who will win this one? Let us know by voting thumbs up for Price and thumbs down for Humphries.

Michael van Gerwen averaged just 92.88 in that match, with Rob Cross up at 99.33 and the only 180 of the match.

That will always be an issue, and not one we're used to with MVG given his heavy scoring down the years.

MVG was also just 5/18 on his doubles with a highest checkout of just 40, while Cross hit a 132 outshot and took out 6/13 doubles.

Phew! What a finish to our curtain raiser, which was nip and tuck from start to finish before Rob Cross finally held his nerve to win it with his third match dart.

His heart will have been in his mouth when Michael van Gerwen stepped up with three darts in hand needing to hit double 12 to win it - and not many expected him to miss all three match darts.

That ends Van Gerwen's run of winning every quarter-final match this season, but extends Cross' recent dominance over the Dutchman with his sixth win in seven meetings.

Cross misses one shot at the Bull, but then Van Gerwen misses three match darts and allows the Englishman to return and hit nine, miss double eight but pin double four to complete a dramatic victory.

    Van Gerwen 5-5 Cross

  16. Level againpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Van Gerwen 4-4 Cross

Rob Cross is not taking a backward stoe though and responds yet again to level the match, which has been a ding-dong battle from the start.

A 132 outshot completes a 12 darter that's the best leg of the match - and great time for it.

  17. Mighty Mike gets his nose in frontpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Van Gerwen 4-3 Cross

Four ton-plus visits leaves tops for Michael van Gerwen and although he misses his first go, then misses double 10, he hits it with his final dart to go back in front.

This is a quality contest so far.

  18. Nip and tuckpublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Van Gerwen 3-3 Cross

Much better from Rob Cross who hits a 13-darter on his own throw to level the match once again.

Some good scoring leaves him with just 32 left to finish off on his fifth visit and he pins double 16 with his first attempt.

All that great work from Rob Cross to give himself the opportunity but he did not take the chance.

  20. Scrappy win for MVGpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February

    Van Gerwen 3-2 Cross

After some decent legs this one is scrappy with both players scratching around trying to take out finishes only around 100 and under.

Michael van Gerwen had the throw though so eventually he can step up and win it in 17 darts.
