It is a repeat of last week's Manchester semi-final between Gerwyn Price and Michael Smith in the third quarter-final in Birmingham.

Gerwyn Price hit a nine-darter in this fixture a week ago on his way to a 6-3 win over Bully Boy.

Both Smith and Price started tonight outside of the top four, but on current form, seem to be the two most likely challengers to break into the places for the play-off night on 23 May.

The two have already played each other in four Premier League matches so far this year, including the final in Cardiff on the opening night, with Smith currently 3-1 ahead in victories.

Luke Littler showed inconsistencies in that match, but similarly to Luke Humphries in the first quarter-final, did enough to get the job done and we will now have a repeat of the World Championship final in tonight's first semi-final.

Littler came up with big darts when it mattered most, but Cross deserves credit for his performance and taking the game as deep as he did.

Cross averaged just under 100 there, while Littler was just below 98. Cross also took out 45.2% of his checkouts, while Littler finished 35.3% of his.

"Voltage" can feel a bit hard done by with this, his fifth straight quarter-final loss.

A very topsy-turvy match, but it is job done for the teenager in the end.
