Guernsey FC captain Jamie Dodd says his side's passing style of play will improve as the season goes on.

The Green Lions missed out on a first Isthmian League South Central win since August as they conceded in the last minute to draw 1-1 with fellow strugglers Metropolitan Police.

"We've started to play a different way this year," Dodd told BBC Guernsey.

"We're really looking to build up from the back as we used to do a little bit when we first started.

"We've got technically very good players and the style dictates that we should play like that.

"It's still very much a learning process and we've sort of got there playing out from the back, it's then how we build up to the next phase, the middle third and attacking third, and retention of the ball and patterns of play through there.

"We enjoy playing this style of football, but it'll come with a few mistakes - we know that and it's not going to be perfect, but I think it's much more exciting to watch."
