On being tall, but being overlooked: "Story of my career! Visually on the pitch if I do a mistake I feel it's magnified by how it looks. I was surprised with how tall the gaffer was."

    England

Dan Burn on being named in Thomas Tuchel's first camp: "I feel being in that first camp is important. It means I am there, but I don't want to be there for no reason. I want to be there because I have proved [I should] be there."

On feeling his England chances had gone: "I think so. There was a little bit of chat around the World Cup 2022 when I was playing left-back. I had never played any international football, which worked against us.

"I did think it had passed us by at 32. When the new manager came in it was that feeling of 'you never know'."

"I feel like I have been doubted a lot over my career. Not many people at Darlington would have said I'd be sitting here doing a press conference for England, but as I said it has made me more resilient.

"I feel I deserve to be here."

Given the the rich vein of talent England have assembled here, positionally, surely Thomas Tuchel could easily put out a England 'C' team and sweep aside, the likes of Albania and Latvia?

    Keith. Shropshire.

England should qualify from the group and yes there will be some mediocre displays over qualifying. However, we will qualify and will be one of the top teams in the World Cup finals.
