Leeds salvage a late, late equaliser and go top of the Championship.

It looked like the Whites were going to fall to a third 1-0 defeat in their past four road games but Jack Whatmough deflected Dan James' low cross into his own goal.

The home side had led from the 23rd minute through Brad Potts' strike but were fortunate to still have 11 men on the pitch at the break after Ben Whiteman escaped a second yellow.

Leeds pressed and pressed and pressed for an equaliser and it finally came with barely 60 seconds of time added on to go.

Five draws in six and 11 from 21 league games for Preston now.

Leeds are above Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United atop the table on goal difference before the Blades host Plymouth in just over 30 minutes time.

    Alan Kelly

Just as we've been talking about the brilliance of the Preston defence.

He gets half a yard of space and it finds the back of the net. They didn't deserve that Preston.

    Coventry 2-1 Hull City

Ivor Pandur comes rushing out of the Hull City goal towards the edge of the box but gets it all wrong and heads it straight up in the air.

It drops for Ellis Simms but his effort is well blocked.

    Bristol City 1-1 QPR

Rangers actually finished this game the stronger and carved out a couple of half-chances in stoppage time.

Steve Cook's scuffed attempt from the edge of the box was saved by Max O'Leary, while Alfie Lloyd had a run and shot deflected behind.

In the end, it would have been harsh in the extreme on Bristol City had they lost - and the boos from the crowd tells you they see this result as two points dropped.

They've been absolutely dominant today but there's still only a goal in it.

Nervy final moments coming up for the hosts.

Just for a moment, you wondered if QPR might pull off the ultimate smash and grab raid...

Daniel Bennie has just come on in place of Paul Smyth and his long throw is half-cleared to Kenneth Paal, but the full-back skews a half-volley - on his wrong foot - high over the bar.

We'll have five added minutes here.

Still plenty more defending to be done, you suspect...
