Jon: Keeping the ball is becoming a problem for United. This will be the same as last week if we’re not careful. Spurs can be got at but need the ball to stick first.

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

'United, United, United' chant the travelling fans as Bruno Fernandes chests the ball down before pinging it over the bar.

Concern for the visitors as Harry Maguire goes down with what looks like an injury.

Is that the end of his game?

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 69 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Pedro Porro makes way for Destiny Udogie.

Tottenham need to find some spark from somewhere.

If it stays like this, they'll have lost 13 times in the last 20 home games in the Premier League.

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

This could be a momentous day for Ruben Amorim and Manchester United.

United have won just four Premier League games on the road under the Portuguese.

They're 20-odd minutes away from a clean sheet victory that will send them second in the table.

Manchester United are working hard to protect this slender lead.

Tottenham have improved this half but still look so powder-puff in front of goal.

    It's Bilbao all over again!

Brennan Johnson has the ball in the back of the United net. This time, however, it's not going to count.

    Up goes the offside flag.

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Senne Lammens might just be the best £18m Manchester United have spent in recent times.

Josh: It's incredible how different United look since Lammens came in. It's almost like the outfield players know they can rely on their keeper again... wait for the keeper howler now I've said that though...

    Glenn Murray
Former Crystal Palace and Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Lammens' positioning was really good on both chances. They were quite close to him, relatively easy saves but very good positioning.

All of a sudden, Spurs have found some energy and the fans are feeding off that. They are a little bit more spritely in the opening moments of this second half.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Spurs are having their best spell of the game.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are getting ready to send on Benjamin Sesko for Noussair Mazraoui.

  14. CLOSE!published at 57 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Another attempt on target for Spurs!

This time it's João Palhinha who is denied by Senne Lammens after firing through the legs of Harry Maguire.

Much more encouraging for the home side.

  15. CLOSE!published at 54 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

    That's more like it!

Out of nowhere Spurs create a great chance but Cristian Romero's flick from close range is dealt with by Senne Lammens.

That was good goalkeeping by Lammens who has had very little to do.

Andy: Two things here: 1. Man Utd benefitting from having no midweek games. 2. Beating a team in Europe doesn't indicate much as Premier League teams are so far ahead of the rest right now.

It's slow and it's ponderous from Tottenham.

They're on it at home in the Champions League. Why not in the Premier League?

William: It's fairly easy to see where Spurs are falling short, their entire front four needs replacing bar Kudus. Ivan Toney would do nicely. As to Man Utd can anybody seriously see their squad stopping Arsenal?

A bit more threat from Spurs going forward but the quality of their crosses remains the same - AWFUL.

Scott: I simply cannot make myself sit through this disgraceful style of football played by Tottenham. I think Frank is as useful as Richarlison.
