Jonny: Such a boring game I went to empty the tumble dryer... and missed the goal.

I don't mean to alarm Spurs fans but I've just received this from Opta...

Tottenham are winless in their last 18 Premier League games when conceding first (D4 L14) since beating Aston Villa 4-1 in November last year.

James: Typical Spurs. Why doesn't Sarr just put his foot through the ball and clear it? It's such a bad error and one we used to make under Ange all the time. So frustrating.

  8. Brilliant cross from Amadpublished at 13:07 GMT

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Ruben Amorim has chosen to split the Amad Diallo-Bryan Mbeumo right sided partnership today, so the pair have found another way of causing a problem.

That was a superb cross by Amad, just right for Mbeumo, who had got between defenders.

Awful from Tottenham though. They had control of that situation inside their own penalty area.

The pressure was building on Manchester United, they were putting in a couple of recylced crosses and Mbeumo doesn't have to move, a brilliant header.

That is the difference between the two sides - one chance for each side with Richarlison's header, but Mbeumo makes no mistake.

This is a real test for Spurs.

How long before their fans vent their frustration?

Their home league form has been utterly woeful.

    Thank goodness for that!

Tottenham's defending is all over the place as Bryan Mbeumo scores his fifth goal in 11 Premier League games.

It's a decent header by the forward after a lovely delivery by Amad Diallo.

A goal is just what this game needed.

Brennan Johnson is booked for some shoving before a Manchester United corner.

In it comes from Bruno Fernandes but it's easily dealt with by the home side.

Spurs have had two touches in the United box. United have had one touch in the Spurs box. That's how entertaining this is.

  14. Man Utd abandon long throw planpublished at 12:58 GMT

    Tottenham 0-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Football News Reporter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Diogo Dalot is Manchester United's long throw expert but he is on the bench.

Patrick Dorgu tried to take one but didn't beat the first man.

He was lining up another but Ruben Amorim yelled at him to abandon that idea and told Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire to return to the halfway line.

Rob: From an Arsenal supporting perspective, I'd like a snoozefest, ending in a bore draw. But from a fantasy team manager's point of view, I could do with both Mbeumo and VDV scoring.

Matthew: Was it really the correct decision to give the manager of the month award to Amorim over Arteta? Not sure on this viewing.

Alec: It’s another game that won’t tell us that much about either team whatever the outcome. Both sides are flawed. I suspect Spurs will have the better season of the two but neither will be setting much on fire.

A corner to Manchester United after good work by Matheus Cunha. United fans behind the goal are appealing for a penalty as the ball appears to strike Richarlison's hand but play goes on.
