Before we get to the break, Accrington will have the chance to whip in a free-kick from the right touch line in the Gainsborough half.

Shaun Whalley sends in the ball and it is comfortably claimed by David Robson, ultimately a disappointing delivery.

They need to regroup. Accrington are keeping the ball, dominating the play. Gainsborough just need to get in at half time and reset.

    Gainsborough Trinity 0-1 Accrington

Accrington send a dangerous ball into the box from a free kick on the right but the referee whistles for a handball on goalscorer Paddy Madden and the linesman has his flag up for offside.

The raised flag is met with ironic cheer from the Gainsborough fans who believe Accrington's earlier goal should have been ruled out.

    Gainsborough Trinity 0-1 Accrington

Isaac Heath looks to create something for the visitors but after some impressive footwork he turns and lets fly with a shot that is wide of the target.

Since scoring it's been all Accrington. They want a second here.

  6. Mishead from Walton?published at 17:50 GMT 2 November

    Gainsborough Trinity 0-1 Accrington

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool and Preston striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

Accrington are just starting to use that diagonal a lot to their advantage. It's a great move, a fantastic ball from Isaac Sinclair and was Tyler Walton going for goal?

I'm not sure if he was trying to head it. Did he mishead it? Whatever, he squared it perfectly for Paddy Madden who's got the simplest job but Accrington are just starting to use their dominance in this game. You can feel they're getting on top.

GOAL: Gainsborough Trinity 0-1 Accringtonpublished at 17:45 GMT 2 November

    Paddy Madden (29 mins)

    Accrington lead!

They have been threatening too over the past few minutes, the visitors work the ball into the box and find Tyler Walton who is able to square a pass to Paddy Madden who has an easy finish from close range to give his side the advantage.

There were protests from the home team and their fans for offside but those claims were waved away by the referee and he even booked Gainsborough keeper David Robson who was particularly unhappy in the aftermath.

Accrington Stanley manager John Doolan spoke to BBC Radio Lancashire midweek and heaped praise on his counterpart in the home dugout today Russ Wilcox.

"The next best thing is getting a non-league club, not because they're a foregone conclusion but because they're always tough and posses different challenges if you like.

"We had that last year with Rushall so we've got that again now with Gainsborough and Russ has been in the game a long time, played a lot of games and he's managed a lot of teams as well.

"He'll have them organised, they've had some really good results. I know they beat Hartlepool in the last round and they beat Redditch in the EFL Trophy.

"He'll have them really well organised Russell and we're expecting a tough challenge.

"They played some really good stuff [against Hartlepool]. They can mix it up; they can get physical. They've got some individual, talented players."

    Gainsborough Trinity 0-0 Accrington

Accrington work the ball nicely into the feet of their forward man Tyler Walton but as he goes to pull the trigger a sliding Gainsborough defender is there to make the intervention.

    Gainsborough Trinity 0-0 Accrington

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool and Preston striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

He's the main man for me. He's the talisman, the captain, he's experienced. I said it before the game no one works harder than Shaun on the pitch and he leads by example so it's a massive plus.

He scored a magnificent goal midweek and the longer Accrington can keep him fit and on the pitch the better they'll be.

Jordan Helliwell breaks into space down the right for the home side and looks to whip in a cross but Accrington keeper Ollie Wright steps across to cut out the attack as he claims the ball.

The stands are packed and some areas around the pitch have just a fence or terraces which has rows of people leaning over to get a glimpse of the action.

Let's hope for a good game!

Right then, onto our final FA Cup match of the day!

Gainsborough Trinity and Accrington Stanley have never previously met in the FA Cup proper.

As a football league club, League Two side Accrington have progressed from six of their seven ties against non-league opponents in the FA Cup, failing only in 2017-18 in the first round versus Guiseley.

Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Gainsborough reached the FA Cup second round last season, eliminating Hednesford Town. They last progressed beyond the first round in consecutive seasons in 1937-38 and 1938-39.

Accrington are looking to go beyond the first round of the FA Cup in consecutive seasons for the first time since a run of three in a row between 2014-15 and 2016-17.

  18. Tougher tests to come for Valepublished at 17:06 GMT 2 November

FT: Port Vale 5-1 Maldon & Tiptree

    Adam Yates
Former Vale defender on BBC Radio Stoke

It was a canter in the second half, wasn't it? Other than their goal, I'm not sure they [Maldon & Tiptree] even had another half chance.

One [goal] disallowed right at the death which I can't believe. It can only be for offside which I would be gobsmacked if it is because Jesse Debrah looked like he was on the six-yard box from that corner kick but a positive afternoon.

A sloppy start, positive response, food for thought for the manager and Vale back to winning ways but the opposition were not EFL standard and there'll be far tougher tests that Vale have to come up against in the next six, seven months.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 GMT 2 November

Port Vale 5-1 Maldon and Tiptree

Full-time and Maldon and Tiptree's 2025-26 FA Cup journey comes to an end!

Kevin Horlock will be proud of his side and will never forget his team taking the lead in the sixth minute when Anisius Lewis wonderfully volleyed home as the away fans went wild.

That woke Vale up effectively and an incredible four goals in nine minutes took the tie away from the visiting side.

Goals from George Hall, Devante Cole and a brace from Ruari Paton saw them go 4-1 up at the break before Cole grabbed a second of the match after half-time.

Jesse Debrah thought he rounded off the win with the final act but his header was disallowed in the 98th minute.

The Essex club overcame six opponents to get to this stage but they have finally been knocked out by a strong showing from the League One club.

  20. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:58 GMT 2 November

Port Vale 5-1 Maldon and Tiptree

Vale think they have a sixth goal as Jesse Debrah heads home from a corner but the referee has spotted a foul!
