Brackley made light of having to play for 82 minutes with 10 men to secure a draw at home to Gateshead in the National League.

Defender Zak Lilly was dismissed in just the eighth minute for bringing down Kyle Hurst and denying a goalscoring opportunity after a mix-up in the home defence.

Despite losing their past three in the league, Brackley saw Scott Pollock, Matt Lowe, Danny Waldron all have chances in the first half.

The visitors did not properly threaten until Jacob Butterfield's cross was nodded against a post by David Ferguson, who also headed wide deep into added time.
