    Sunderland 0-0 Hull City

The hosts win the first corner of the match down their right.

They work a short routine that ends with Chris Rigg again getting a shot off from the edge of the area. Once again a Hull defender is out to get a block on.

The home side doing most of the early running, as Jobe Bellingham also sees a shot blocked.

  2. CLOSE!published at 12:35 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Plymouth 0-0 Cardiff

Cardiff almost take an early lead as the ball is headed goalbound by Yousef Salech, only to be tipped away by Plymouth keeper Conor Hazard and onto the back of Nikola Katic.

The away side are looking the livelier of the two at the moment.

  3. Postpublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Sunderland 0-0 Hull City

The home side create the first chance of the game with some nice play down their left and the ball breaks in the middle for Chris Rigg to shoot from about 15 yards out.

His effort is charged down by a Hull defender.

  4. Postpublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Derby 0-0 Millwall

    Positive start from the visitors.

Tristan Crama finds a little space inside the right-hand side of the Derby box, but his cross is headed clear.

  6. One change for Plymouth; two for Cardiffpublished at 12:27 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

Plymouth boss Miron Muslic makes just the one change from their 1-1 draw away to Luton, with Matthew Sorinola dropped to the bench for Kornel Szucs.

For Cardiff, boss Omer Riza rewards forward Yousef Salech with his first start for the club since he arrived in January, with Aaron Ramsey brought in to make his sixth appearance of the season and first start since 31 August.

  7. Three changes for Derby, two for Millwallpublished at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Derby v Millwall (12:30 GMT)

    Derby XI

In his first home game as Derby boss, John Eustace makes three changes from the side which were hammered 4-0 at QPR eight days ago.

Midfielder David Ozoh returns from a knock, while Kenzo Goudmijn and Kayden Jackson also come back into the line-up.

Forward Kemar Roofe, who joined the Rams on Thursday, will begin on the bench.

Millwall make two changes from the side that drew with Preston on Tuesday evening.

Algeria forward Camiel Neghli comes in for his third appearance for the Lions, while George Saville also returns to the starting XI at the expense of Billy Mitchell, who drops to the bench, and the injured Ra'ees Bangura-Williams.

  8. Sunderland unchanged again as visitors make three alterationspublished at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

Sunderland v Hull City (12:30 GMT)

    Sunderland XI

In a slightly surprising move, Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris goes with the same XI who started Monday's draining defeat at Leeds United. That means the Frenchman has now named the same team for their past three matches.

Hull City boss Ruben Selles has shuffled his pack. The Tigers boss names three changes from the XI who drew with Norwich City last Saturday. Charlie Hughes, Eliot Matazo and Kyle Joseph all return to the line-up. It's a first appearance since 21 December for defender Hughes.

    Plymouth v Cardiff (12:30 GMT)

It's been a mixed bag of results for Plymouth and Cardiff in recent weeks as the two sides meet in Devon to fight for a valuable three points.

Plymouth's rare winning run looked set to end on Wednesday, until they came from behind to draw away to Luton.

For Cardiff, it required 90th minute heroics from substitute Yousef Salech to snatch a point against Bristol City, and end the Bluebird's back-to-back losing streak.

The 23-year-old will be hoping to repeat it this afternoon as he makes this first league start for City since arriving in January, whereas Plymouth manager Miron Muslic has had to reshuffle his side after striker Ryan Hardie was again ruled out through a back injury.

  10. Can Eustace spark a Rams revival?published at 12:16 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Derby v Millwall (12:30 GMT)

John Eustace has had a week on the training ground with his new Derby charges since seeing them dismantled 4-0 at QPR in his first game in the hotseat.

And boy do the Rams need a little magic. They've picked up just two points from their past 10 games - a run which has dropped them into the final relegation place, albeit just one point from safety.

Perhaps the last side they will want to see rocking up at Pride Park is Millwall - the Lions have won on their past four league visits here.

Alex Neil's men have suffered just one defeat in seven league games but are without a win in three.

It leaves them seven points off the play-off spots - hardly a yawning gap, but they can't afford to let it grow much more with the run-in fast approaching.

  11. Hurting Black Cats host struggling Tigerspublished at 12:14 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

Sunderland looked to be on course for a huge win at Leeds United on Monday before the Whites pulled off a terrific late comeback to return to the top of the Championship.

Defeat at Elland Road means the Black Cats start today's game eight points off second place with 13 games to go.

Not an impossible gap but certainly one that will be very difficult to overhaul.

Regis Le Bris' men are unbeaten at the Stadium of Light this season and have lost just one of their past 12 meetings with Hull City.

The Tigers are in desperate need of points themselves but for entirely different reasons.

Depending on how results go elsewhere this weekend a defeat here today could leave them bottom of the table.

  12. Clarets the clean sheet kings and Robins beat bruised Boropublished at 12:11 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

There were two games in the Championship last night and both of them produced significant results.

Third-placed Burnley stretched their run without conceding a league goal to a frankly ludicrous 12 matches as they walloped Sheffield Wednesday 4-0.

The Clarets have now matched the season-record for clean sheets in the Championship with 25 and will end February with their goals against column still in single figures on nine.

Bristol City moved up into the top six after coming back from a goal down to beat listless Middlesbrough 2-1.

Substitute George Earthy got both the goals for the home side as Boro, who had led through a goal from former Robins forward Tommy Conway, fell to a fifth straight defeat to leave boss Michael Carrick once again having to field questions about his future.

  13. The state of thingspublished at 12:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Championship table

The Championship's top two have the weekend off before they meet at Bramall Lane on Monday night.

Fourth-placed Sunderland, beaten by Leeds' late, late show on Monday this week, need a victory over struggling Hull City today to give their slim automatic promotion hopes a shot in the arm.

The Black Cats are all-but guaranteed a top six spot whatever happens from here but who else will be in the play-offs remains unclear, with everyone down to 15th-placed Preston still in with a shout.

Down at the bottom Derby County desperately need to record a first win since Boxing Day when they host Millwall and Plymouth could move out of the bottom three for the first time in a long time if they beat fellow strugglers Cardiff.

Bottom side Luton visit local rivals Watford on Sunday and will watch today's action unfold from behind the sofa as they hope the teams above them don't pick up points.
