You can hear these Villa fans and it seems every time Tyrone Mings wants to play a pass he doesn't.

The pass is on for Ian Maatsen a lot and Mings has refused it.

What's left? I always end up with loads of crackers way after the cheese is gone.

Although they don't go off right?

West Ham are on the ball in their own half with a minute until the break.

Bit of a disjointed game, but as a neutral quite enjoyable. Looking forward to half-time and seeing what's left of the Christmas cheese board. Might be its last weekend I fear.

Villa play some nice one-touch passing, but then Matty Cash loses the ball and fouls Lucas Paqueta.

Fourth official Bobby Madley adds on four minutes to the end of the first half.

    Seems about right.

Villa get the ball into a great area, but Ollie Watkins is on his heels.

Sharp stuff from Villa. Boubacar Kamara slips in a fine ball for Leon Bailey, but the winger's square pass across goal is intercepted before it reaches Ollie Watkins who would've had a tap in.

A win for Potter tonight could really be the turn around the Hammers need. Come on you Irons!

Youri Tielemans edging his way into the box.

Leon Bailey was sprinting, and Tielemans plays the right pass, but at the wrong weight.

    That was a chance.

This stop-startey game is not helping Villa out at all.

They have half a chance but Youri Tielemans overhits a forward pass.

Tielemans is then in the spotlight again as he can't get on the end of a dangerous cross.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the latest player to start limping.

I make that two players substituted, and four others who have, at some point this half, gone down.

Yeah Lucas Paqueta was very worried about Leon Bailey and immediately asked the ref to stop the game.

Leon Bailey seems to lose his footing.

Matty Cash pinged it into Bailey and he had to stop sharply, but he lost his footing.

Lucas Paqueta called the referee and he's done well to do that.

OK, this one isn't as bad as it looks. Thankfully Leon Bailey is OK.

    Another injury!

Aston Villa counter down the right but it stops immediately as Leon Bailey twists his knee and goes straight down.

If Pau Torres wasn’t injured I’d suggest sending Mings out on loan to get some game time. We really miss Pau at the back, he’s got a great touch and by far our best centre-back.

Another shot, and unsurprisingly it comes from Lucas Paqueta who has easily been this game's brightest.

He has a pop from range which Villa keeeper Robin Olsen initially spills but manages to recover and jump on the ball with Danny Ings lurking.
