    Fulham 1-0 Watford

Fulham want to wrap this up quickly. Alex Iwobi, who has been a real handful, strikes powerfully from outside the penalty area and it takes a deflection, with Jonathan bond rooted to the spot, but goes wide.

Everton should go for Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna - one of the most promising managers in the league and it would weaken a fellow relegation rival critically. It's a win-win.

  3. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Fulham 1-0 Watford

Fulham almost instantly double their lead. Timothy Castagne's shot is deflected but is just wide of the post, rippling the side netting.

  4. 'Wonderful effort'published at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

    Martin Keown
Former Everton defender on BBC iPlayer

    A lovely sweet strike.

    The body shape, beautiful.

They always look great from that angle. Orel Mangala got alongside it and he takes it high, too high to hit the back of the net.

    Wonderful effort.

  5. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

Emmanuel Fernandez is a very, very lucky boy. The ball is put in the box and the defender opts to guide the ball out of play with his stomach but it's so close to trickling into his own goal!

BR: I don't understand how people are against the Dyche sacking. Awful, outdated style of play whilst not getting results. There's a reason managers like Dyche, Hodgson, Pulis and Bruce have disappeared from top level football, as that boring style simply doesn't cut it.

  7. Sir Alex at Goodisonpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

Sir Alex Ferguson is in attendance at Goodison Park to watch how son Darren Ferguson's Peterborough side gets on.

  8. goal

GOAL - Fulham 1-0 Watfordpublished at 27 mins

    Rodrigo Muniz

Fulham take the lead. Adama Traore crosses low from the right edge of the penalty area and Rodrigo Muniz hits it first time and sweeps it into the bottom corner.

That goal from Fulham came seconds after an excellent interception at the other end from Joachim Andersen to block off Tom Ince when he looked to be clean through.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

So close to an opener! The ball is whipped in from the right, it's cleared to the edge of the box and Orel Mangala hits it on the volley and it smacks off the post. Unreal technique.

  10. Postpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Sheffield United 0-1 Cardiff City

Whatever Chris Wilder said at half-time has worked because Sheffield United have emerged on the front foot.

Young striker Ryan One gets a shot away but it's saved by Ethan Horvath.

  11. Postpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Fulham 0-0 Watford

Edo Kayembe has the first effort for Watford, with a snap shot from 30 yards out but it bounces harmlessly wide.

  12. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

Idrissa Gueye has a go from outside of the box and takes half of the turf with him. The dip on the ball causes problems for Nicholas Bilokapic in goal and he kind of slaps it away with his right hand.

  13. 'Both systems are mirroring each other'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

    Martin Keown
Former Everton defender on BBC iPlayer

    Donay O'Brien-Brady is passing backwards.

When he gets that ball as an extra midfielder he needs to turn, he is free quite often.

Both systems are mirroring each other.

  14. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

Must be a strange experience for these Everton players tonight. This team was picked and prepared by Sean Dyche but it's Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in the hot seat now.

I can't help but compare the dismissal of Dyche to Steve Bruce when the new owners came in. Both unpopular with the fans, both played depressing football and didn't get the results the fans wanted. But Newcastle posted a nine paragraph message of thanks including "Newcastle United would like to place on record its gratitude to Steve for his contribution and wishes him well for the future." Everton failing to do that shows a lack of class and their fans failing to acknowledge that is even worse.

    Joe, Surrey.

  16. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Fulham 0-0 Watford

Watford midfielder Edo Kayembe needs to be careful. He's already on a yellow card and fouls Andreas Pereira, but no further action taken.

  17. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

17-year-old Harrison Armstrong crashes into a sliding tackle in the middle of the pitch. The highly-rated youngster has started the game well.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Sheffield United 0-1 Cardiff City

We're back under way at Bramall Lane.

Cardiff have made two changes at half-time with Tom Davis and Luke Pearce on for Ronan Kpakio and Kion Etete.

  19. Postpublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Everton 0-0 Peterborough

Free-kick for Everton right on the edge of the box as Cian Hayes crashes into Nathan Patterson after a good first touch.

The free-kick is then defended well by Peterborough. Danger averted.

  20. CLOSE!published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January

    Fulham 0-0 Watford

Another chance for Fulham. It comes from a corner from the left and Rodrigo Muniz is free at the back post. He connects with a volley, but it is not a great attempt as the ball goes sideways instead of at goal.

Not long afterwards, Alex Iwobi fires just wide from 30 yards out, with Jonathan Bond panicking and flinging himself at the ball, getting a vital touch.
