    Hull 0-1 Middlesbrough

Hull finally mounting a response in this game.

Lewie Coyle's cross caused some problems but Boro got it clear.

The Tigers reloaded, it broke to Abdulkadir Omur on the right of the box but his mis-kicked shot skims just wide of the Boro uprights with Seny Dieng poised for the save.

Blackburn make an absolute howler in defence, as Tommy Conway snaffles up a poor back-pass right on the edge of the box.

He looks at Aynsley Pears in the goal and sends him the other way with his strike to get his 10th goal of the season and put his side in front.

  3. Postpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 10 April

    West Brom 0-0 Rotherham

Early opening for West Brom comes to John Swift, but the skilful forward can't keep his effort down after he was teed up by Tom Fellows.

    Ipswich 0-0 Watford

Ipswich are starting to get into their rhythm now as we cross the 15 minute mark.

The hosts drive into the box and Kieffer Moore tees up Nathan Broadhead, who drills a low shot towards goal and forces Daniel Bachmann into his first real save of the evening.

  5. 'What a start!'published at 20:07 British Summer Time 10 April

    Hull 0-1 Middlesbrough

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

That's a ball into the channel from Matthew Clarke and it's a nothing ball - but it lands. What a start! In the Boro end, they were going absolutely crazy. What a strike and what a start for Middlesbrough.

I said before that if Hull play a high line, you can exploit that. They aren't that quick.

  6. League One updatepublished at 20:06 British Summer Time 10 April

Peterborough 0-0 Port Vale; Wycombe 0-0 Derby

Just about 20 minutes gone in both League One games, no goals yet.

But how didn't Derby take the lead in the opening minutes? Conor Washington wins the ball high and finds Corey Blackett-Taylor, who some how misses an open goal.

    Lucky Wycombe.

  7. goal

GOAL: Hull 0-1 Middlesbroughpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 10 April

    Emmanuel Latte Lath (4 mins)

Boro hit the front in this play-off chasing six-pointer against Hull.

Emmanuel Latte Lath is the man with the goal, and it was smartly worked.

Lukas Engel chased a ball down the left, and helped it into the striker's path, he brought it down with a cushioned touch, and from a narrow angle just guided it beyond Ryan Allsop to put the visitors ahead.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 10 April

    Birmingham 0-0 Cardiff

Birmingham closest to a goal at home tonight, as Cardiff switched off from a corner.

Koji Miyoshi picks it up short, skips into the box and gets a yard before blasting a shot at goal that thuds off the post and out.

    Blues mildly in the ascendancy.

  10. Postpublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 10 April

    Ipswich 0-0 Watford

Leif Davis swings in his second free-kick in a few minutes.

Kieffer Moore got his head on the last one but sent it wide and this time Watford's Wesley Hoedt is wise to the danger and heads the set piece straight clear.

Albion boss Carlos Corberan rings the changes for the visit of already relegated Rotherham United.

He makes four alterations - one enforced - to the team that surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Stoke - and could, probably should, actually have lost.

Captain Jed Wallace is ill, so Tom Fellows will be used out wide, while Adam Reach comes in for Conor Townsend at left-back, Yann M'Vila replaces Alex Mowatt and John Swift is in for Grady Diangana.

  13. Albion's fight for fifth placepublished at 19:58 British Summer Time 10 April

West Brom v Rotherham (20:00 BST)

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

There is only one guaranteed outcome for West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns tonight . . . Win, lose or draw, they will still be fifth.

They trail fourth-placed Southampton by nine points - and they are a point ahead of Norwich City, who played last night. So, fifth is where the Baggies will remain - and that is exactly where they have been now for over four months.

It was on 2 December when this Albion Fifth Symphony began. They lost at home to Leicester City dropped from third to fifth - and the Baggies have remained there, barnacle-like, ever since. For 131 days. And counting!

  14. 'Interesting Watford line-up'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 10 April

    Ipswich 0-0 Watford

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

Watford's line up is very interesting.

Wesley Hoedt in the middle of the back three where he usually plays on the left - it's different. I think where you can get at Ipswich is the wide areas and I think what they are asking is for the two wide players to get inside. Interesting tactic from Watford.

  15. ouch!

OUCHpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 10 April

    Birmingham 0-0 Cardiff

Bit of an early stoppage at Birmingham City tonight, as home striker Jay Stansfield and Nat Phillips clashed heads.

Thankfully back under way and both are still on as it stands.

  16. Postpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 10 April

    Ipswich 0-0 Watford

Wesley Hoedt snatches the ball off Ipswich in midfield, and Yaser Asprilla spots Vaclav Hldaky off his line and decides to take a shot at goal, hoofing an effort from the halfway line.

    It goes miles wide.

  17. Too close to relegation for comfortpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 10 April

    Swansea v Stoke (20:00 BST)

With things so tight at the bottom of the table, Swansea’s spot in 15th in the table in no-way means they are safe from relegation, with the bottom three only four points below them as it stands.

Two defeats in their last two games haven’t helped the Swans and what’s worse, manager Luke Williams has the unenviable record of overseeing the worst home form in the league since his first game in January, with Swansea winning two and losing five.

The Potters sit even more precariously in 19th, just three points above the drop although come into the game unbeaten in their last three – one win, two draws.

Stoke can also take a little comfort knowing they’re also unbeaten in their last five meetings with Swansea (two draws, three wins).

  18. Postpublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 10 April

    Bristol City 0-0 Blackburn

It's all Bristol City still as Scott Twine has another chance that goes begging.

It looks like his half-volley goes in but it actually hits a defender and trickles wide of the goal.

  19. Can you feel the power?published at 19:52 British Summer Time 10 April

    Hull v Middlesbrough (20:00 BST)

Emmanuel Latte Lath pulls away from Lewie Coyle as Hull take on MiddlesbroughImage source, Getty Images

This match has the feel of the Gladiators travellator from a top six perspective, as it pits two sides desperate not to run out of steam together in a bid to stay in the play-off race in Hull City and Middlesbrough.

Get to the top of the travellator, or in this case win the game, and you're sort of still in the fight.

Fail, and you might as well get that trip to Dubai or wherever footballers go on their holidays booked before the flights go up.

Liam Rosenior has assembled a very good side at Hull thanks to media tycoon Acun Ilicali's investment but they sometimes seem to lack that ruthlessness to put teams and games away.

Michael Carrick's Boro fall apart in February but they rediscovered their form in the last month or so to keep their hopes alive, notably thanks to an Emmanuel Latte Lath caffeine-esque hit of goals helping to stir them up the table.

All that needs to be said now is: contenders.... ready?

  20. CLOSE!published at 19:51 British Summer Time 10 April

    Bristol City 0-0 Blackburn

Bright start for Bristol City who get an early shot on goal for after winning a free-kick inside the first four minutes.

Haydon Roberts cut the ball back to Scott Twine, who took the shot across himself trying to catch out Aynsley Pears in the Blackburn goal but he sent it just wide of the post.
