Despite conceding the lion's share of possession, they look dangerous on the break when they do win it back.

The travel chaos that prevented United arriving much before 15:00 has not affected the Tangerines at all. They've been really good so far.

Having weathered the Rangers pressure, the Tangerines gain some territory and Vicko Sevelj's deep cross finds the completely unmarked Sam Dalby, who applies a fine header.

Referee John Beaton reverses his original decision to send Alex Gogic off having watched multiple replays of a robust sliding challenge on Shayden Morris - just a yellow for the St Mirren centre-half.

Dundee United's Luca Stephenson blocks Vaclav Cerny's free-kick and goes down in a heap in the box but is soon back to his feet.

An incredibly simple goal gives St Mirren the lead.
Ellery Balcombe boots a long ball over the top, and Toyosi Olusanya bursts between Aberdeen defenders Slobodan Rubezic and Gavin Molloy to get on the end of it.
He has plenty of time to think about it, but slides a calm finish beyond Dimitar Mitov.
There was a quick VAR check for offside, but the goal stands.

Perfect start to the second half for County as Ronan Hale is quickest to react to a deflected shot, taking a fine first touch before slotting past Aston Oxborough.

Rangers starting to find some momentum now. Nico Raskin gets away a first-time shot and goalkeeper Jack Walton can only push the ball away.
Dundee United soon concede a free-kick and Vaclav Cerny's delivery is nodded wide by Robin Propper.

A well-worked corner routine eventually drops to Ester Sokler, but Saints keeper Ellery Balcombe races off his line to smother the striker's shot.
