    St Mirren are pushing for a second goal in front of a home crowd that are bang up for this.

    Despite conceding the lion's share of possession, they look dangerous on the break when they do win it back.

    That VAR check seemed to take about five minutes but much to the joy of the travelling band of Dundee United fans, Sam Dalby's goal stands. Cue wild celebrations in the away end all over again.

    The travel chaos that prevented United arriving much before 15:00 has not affected the Tangerines at all. They've been really good so far.

    Having weathered the Rangers pressure, the Tangerines gain some territory and Vicko Sevelj's deep cross finds the completely unmarked Sam Dalby, who applies a fine header.

    Referee John Beaton reverses his original decision to send Alex Gogic off having watched multiple replays of a robust sliding challenge on Shayden Morris - just a yellow for the St Mirren centre-half.

    That one has left both sets of fans incensed.

    An incredibly simple goal gives St Mirren the lead.

    Ellery Balcombe boots a long ball over the top, and Toyosi Olusanya bursts between Aberdeen defenders Slobodan Rubezic and Gavin Molloy to get on the end of it.

    He has plenty of time to think about it, but slides a calm finish beyond Dimitar Mitov.

    There was a quick VAR check for offside, but the goal stands.
