  1. Why are people calling Arsenal the 'Corner Kings'?published at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Fulham v Arsenal (Sun, 14.00 GMT)

"Perfection", "impossible to defend", "like Stoke City!"

Pundits were left purring once again by Arsenal's set-piece prowess after a series of dangerous corners led to both goals and a host of further chances in the 2-0 victory over Manchester United.

Post match, manager Mikel Arteta said he hoped opponents would continue to struggle to find a solution to a strength everybody is aware of, but few can find a way to address.

We have taken a look at the best stats and quotes to explore Arsenal's emergence as "corner kings" and why they are being compared to the Stoke City of Tony Pulis - you can read all about it here.

Earlier, Arteta spoke about the 'corner kings' tag, saying he wants Arsenal to 'be the kings of everything'.

Absolutely staggering how Big Ange is being treated by Tottenham fans. It's only last season that they were "loving big Ange instead". Fickle fans.

  3. Why did Slot want to defend Kelleher?published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Everton v Liverpool (Sat, 12.30 GMT)

    Liverpool

Arne Slot came to the defence of goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher today, after the Irish keeper was at fault for Newcastle's equaliser in their midweek 3-3 draw.

Kelleher allowed a late free-kick to fly over his head, with Fabian Schar sliding in behind to score in the 89th minute.

But Kelleher will start for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, as first choice keeper Alisson is still injured.

"If you make a mistake as a goalkeeper it's difficult for someone else to cover it up for you," Slot said today. "He's always there to help us. We just unfortunately couldn't be there to help him."

  4. 'We give the ball away too easily in several moments'published at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on if not taking chances is their biggest problem: "Of course it is what we can and have to improve to be more efficient. But onthe other side we always have to create more chances, you can miss more but you can also score more goals.

"Also sometimes to be more confident with the ball. We give the ball away too easily in several moments and then we have to work very hard to get it back."

As a Rangers fan I'm looking forward to 'welcoming' Postecoglou back to Ibrox next week. Tough test against a very good team whose players are likely to thrive playing in front of first rate supporters for a change.

Crystal Palace v Man City (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on if Tuesday's win is a turning point in the season: "I don't know. I think maybe the Tottenham win has been a turning point because since then I think we have had a few wins, two or three draws.

"It's going in the right direction, the performances look quite stable at the moment and we have to show it again against City and on a better level than before."

Tottenham v Chelsea (Sun, 16:30 GMT)

    Chelsea

Tottenham v Chelsea (Sun, 16:30 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Earlier, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou spoke about spending £100m on teenage players and how it was the right decision for the club and not himself. He also said that if it was up to him, he would have fought to keep Harry Kane at the club.

"To be honest, if I was worried about my own existence I would have fought tooth and nail to block Harry Kane leaving but it wasn’t the right decision for the club because he was in the last year of his contract."

Aston Villa v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery on Saints boss Russell Martin: “I appreciate a lot some teams, some young coaches, how they are being brave, playing, showing different ways tactically. One of them is Russell Martin.

"For us, it’s a challenge, how we can compete against this team, more or less at the beginning, knowing their capacity to keep the ball possession is one of the best in the Premier League.

“I know with my experiences, if we are not being organised in our press, we can struggle, playing against a team like Southampton."

Lots of Spurs fans not trusting Ange. Yes, maybe his previous successes were at not so strong leagues. But if they had a choice to choose Arteta with zero experience or Ange with the experience he had, what would they choose?

"Jacob Ramsey is still weeks to come back, he is progressing well. [Amadou] Onana is close to coming back, maybe today he can do something with us. For tomorrow, I don’t know when he will be with us. Maybe Tuesday is easier."

  15. Why Amorim must unlock Zirkzee's unique talentpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

    Mina Rzouki
European football expert for BBC Sport

'Overweight, slow, not a Manchester United-level player... '

Thirteen games in and most fans and a few pundits had already decided that Joshua Zirkzee, named in the Serie A Team of the Year for his beguiling performances in Italy last season, was a poor investment by the Red Devils.

But the third goal for Manchester United against Everton captured a glimpse of what Zirkzee does so well. A second to survey the pitch, a moment of perfect technique to deliver to Amad. The only thing Zirkzee loves more than runners alongside him is the freedom to drop deep, create and deliver.

That was a glimpse and only a glimpse. How pleasing for Zirkzee fans to watch a United coach finally exploit the player's tactical intelligence and movement in space by allowing him the freedom to roam, to create, to unleash.

  16. 'Effort' the focus in the early stages for Amorimpublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Man Utd v Nottingham Forest (17:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim was asked about the improvements he's seen from his team out of possession: "That is a key point for us.

"We also have to understand our supporters; in just two weeks and four matches, they just want to see effort. Then they want to see us win games. After a while with effort and winning games, they will want to see a dominant team.

"These are the phases that we have to follow. This one is the easy one, effort. Full sprint back, full sprint forward. Our focus is a lot on that."

Is it possible everyone is overreacting to Spurs' performance yesterday and that they were just beaten by a better team. The league is no longer dominated by the ‘big six’ and smaller clubs are now challenging for European places.

  18. Bednarek 'touch and go' but suspension 'boost'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Aston Villa v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Southampton

Southampton boss Russell Martin on team news: "Jan [Bednarek] is touch and go. He was going to play on Wednesday but wasn’t quite right on Tuesday at training so we’re giving it another go and will wait and see tomorrow.

"We were hopeful for big Paul [Onuachu] to be back but it looks a bit unlikely and will probably be the Spurs game now, but everyone else is ready and available."

Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Flynn Downes and Tyler Dibling also return after serving their respective one-match suspensions.

  19. Amorim close to knowing his best staring lineuppublished at 14:03 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Man Utd v Nottingham Forest (17:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim says he "more or less" knows what his best starting eleven is, but added: "You have an idea, but we have the problem of players returning without training, then we need to manage the load.

"You have to understand what kind of players you have. For example Bruno Fernandes, he was a little bit tired in the end against Arsenal but you know that he is going to recover very well. If you think about Manuel Ugarte, I've known him for so long and I know he needs a little bit more time.

"We are in that process of knowing the players and we are managing that. We are getting closer to an idea, yes."

Putting recruitment to one side, I remember when Arsenal were at a low point with Arteta and it was the likes of Saka and Smith-Rowe who were the shining lights that got Arsenal through. Where are these rising academy stars at Spurs who know what it means to fight for the shirt and drag the team out of those tricky moments?
