    Shrewsbury 1-2 Blackpool

A little lull in the game is ended with a bit of pressure from the visitors who earn themselves a couple of corners in succession.

The second of which eventually lands to Pool midfielder Albie Morgan who volleys a shot as high and wide as you possibly can.

Imagine the Peter Kay "Have It" advert- and then double it.

  2. CLOSE!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Birmingham 2-0 Stockport

Jay Stansfield with an improvised effort trying to hook the ball from behind him after Keshi Anderson crosses from the right side. Ben Hinchliffe is equal to it diving to push it wide.

  3. goal

GOAL: Bromley 2-1 Gillinghampublished at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Jude Arthurs (71 mins)

Bromley retake the lead as Jude Arthurs hits a looped effort which finds it's way into the back of the net.

    It's some finish that.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Peterborough 0-1 Burton Albion

Triple change for Posh as Darren Ferguson wastes no time in trying to improve on his side's woeful performance so far.

Off come Jadel Katongo, Abraham Odoh and Ryan De Havilland and on to the field come James Dornelly, Cian Hayes and Hector Kyprianou.

In fairness, he could have taken any one of his 11 off.

17 minutes to go and Posh, the league's second-highest scorers, are yet to register a shot on target against a side who have only won once in the league all season and have been managerless for 43 days and counting.

If any game summed up the unpredictability of the EFL, it was this one.

    BBC Radio WM summariser

Stockport can get away when they have their chances, it is just a little warning for Blues.

    Birmingham 2-0 Stockport

Swift counter-attack from their own box by Stockport, but Louie Barry's shot from distance is easily dealt with by Ryan Allsop, who watches it sail towards him and gathers gratefully into the old breadbasket.

  9. Postpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Birmingham 2-0 Stockport

A hefty challenge from Isaac Olaofe on Willem Thor Willumsson raises the temperature inside the ground but the tackle is deemed firm but fair.

Birmingham then carve out a half chance despite the suspicion of a handball in the build-up, Jay Stansfield shooting as he fell and Ben Hinchliffe saving low.

It is end to end but Birmingham will feel they have weathered Stockport's storm as the clock ticks up towards 70 minutes.

Can you believe it? Burton Albion lead here!

And on the balance of chances they probably deserve it too.

Tomas Kalinauskas, who has been the standout player on the pitch so far, puts Mason Bennett in one-on-one with the outside of his foot and the former Derby County forward finishes calmly past the keeper to give the visitors a shock lead.

Come on, be honest- who saw this one coming?

  11. Shrewsbury 'need to pick themselves up'published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Shrewsbury 1-2 Blackpool

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio Shropshire

It was excellent build-up play. This is a test for Shrewsbury, they have had a lot of success in this game.

Their heads have dropped and they need to pick themselves up. They are allowing Blackpool to travel for too long with the ball.

Shrewsbury were winning the ball first in the first half and now they are just letting it drop and bounce and letting Blackpool on to them.

  12. Postpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Birmingham 2-0 Stockport

Goalscorer Alfie May is coming off, replaced by Lyndon Dykes, sporting a face mask, and a good night all round for the Birmingham striker who can now put his feet up for the last half hour.

  13. goal

GOAL: Bromley 1-1 Gillinghampublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Robbie McKenzie (56 mins)

That Bromley goal didn't last long at all and I can imagine Andy Woodman won't be too happy.

The Gills will be though as it's the perfect response to going a goal down.

Robbie McKenzie hits one from outside the box across Grant Smith into the back of the net.

    It's a lovely finish.

  14. goal

GOAL: Bromley 1-0 Gillinghampublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Cameron Congreve (54 mins)

    Deadlock broken at Hayes Lane.

Cameron Congreve is there with the goal for Bromley to give the the lead.

  15. goal

GOAL: Shrewsbury 1-2 Blackpoolpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Josh Onomah (57 mins)

The visitors have turned this one round and this one is a belter!

Whatever Steve Bruce said at half-time has worked an absolute treat.

A long ball forward finds Ashley Fletcher whose cushioned header is latched on to by midfielder Josh Onomah who lashes home a left-foot drive from outside of the box to give the Seasiders the lead.

    Fleetwood 2-3 Doncaster

We're back under way after an excellent first half.

Tough conditions for the players, though as we have heavy rain and wind at Highbury Stadium.

More of the same this half please.

  17. 'Shrewsbury need to watch out'published at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Shrewsbury 1-1 Blackpool

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio Shropshire

I think Shrewsbury need to watch out now - they don't want to drop off. They need to stay connected and apply pressure.

If they drop off it is easy to sink back into their old ways, and they need to play the Gareth Ainsworth way.

  18. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Birmingham 2-0 Stockport

Much much better from the visitors since the break with the midfield transformed by Dave Challinor's changes.

Stockport are pressing and harrying in the central third and Isaac Olaofe is putting himself about up front.

Still looks like there is life in this game.

  19. goal

GOAL: Shrewsbury 1-1 Blackpoolpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Aaron Pierre (52 minutes OG)

A huge error gifts the visitors an equaliser!

Blackpool left-back James Husband gets forward and whips in a devilish delivery at pace which is turned into his own net by Shrewsbury defender Aaron Pierre

I know we're coming up to Christmas but both goals we've seen tonight really have been gift-wrapped.

  20. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2024

    Peterborough 0-0 Burton Albion

Free-kick in a dangerous area on the left-hand side of the Burton penalty area is whipped in by Joel Randall but is easily dealt with by the Brewers defence.

A little bit of goalmouth action to give you there - sort of?!
