    Oxford v Watford (15:00 GMT)

A rare meeting between clubs who play in yellow.

Two members of the yellow home-kit club (shoutout Norwich and Burton) meet at the Kassam today, and it is the hosts who will feel they need to be on the (b)right side of the scoreline this afternoon.

One of two sides to register a win in their last five, the Championship trapdoor is looming for Gary Rowett's men.

That winless run actually stretches back nine games in the league, and is in stark contrast to the five wins in six collected in Rowett's first month in charge.

At the other end of the table, three wins in five have seen Tom Cleverley's Watford put themselves back in the play-off picture, and a repeat of the 1-0 result at Vicarage Road in November would boost those chances yet further.

Eight of Oxford's nine wins in the league this season have come in front of their own fans. If a ninth isn't added today, those in yellow will go home feeling decidedly blue.

  2. No time for losers at Ewoodpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Blackburn v Cardiff (15:00 GMT)

It may not be the headline England-Wales clash of the day, but don't tell that to round ball followers of Blackburn or Cardiff.

Their need for three points in the context of a 46-game season is vital.

Blackburn have not got going under new head coach Valerien Ismael with one draw from three games.

They quickly need to arrest the slide if they are to remain play-off contenders in April and May.

As for Cardiff, three losses in a row have them precariously perched just one point and one place above the trap door again.

The one at home to Luton on Tuesday was particularly painful for Omer Riza and leaves them vulnerable.

Two of the sides below them meet so defeat for the Bluebirds would have big consequences.

  3. Pompey back at Deepdale for the first time in 12 yearspublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Preston v Portsmouth (15:00 GMT)

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho arrives at DeepdaleImage source, Rex Features

The last time this fixture took place was March 2013, and back then it was a League One fixture.

Two points and two places separate these two, as both look to ensure they're still in the second tier next season.

In keeping with the theme of two, Pompey have won just twice on their travels this campaign, and travel to a Preston side who have lost - yep you guessed it - just two games at home in 2024/2025.

So, the hosts are favourites then?

Well, not on recent form. Preston are one of two sides in the division currently winless in five, while Portsmouth have picked up three wins in that time.

A fourth in six would see them leapfrog Paul Heckingbottom's side, who haven't lost at Deepdale since November.

  4. Hope springs after bleak winterspublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Luton v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

A meeting at Kenilworth Road between two sides for whom spring has offered a glimmer of light after a dark winter.

Luton remain in the bottom three and two points from safety, but two wins from their last three have finally got them up and running under Matt Bloomfield.

The boss admits to seeing "green shoots of optimism" and he'll want to maintain that today against Middlesbrough.

The Teessiders have won three out of four after a run of five straight losses threatened to derail their campaign.

Michael Carrick's team begin the day three points outside the top six and won't want that margin to get any bigger by the end.

  5. Clarets aiming for a quarter of a century unbeatenpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Swansea v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

November 3, 2024. 131 days ago. Or, 24 league games in the Championship.

Scott Parker's side have been virtually impenetrable since, conceding just two goals since Millwall's 1-0 victory.

Avoid defeat today and the Clarets will make it 25 games unbeaten in the league, a run which included 1-0 win over today's opponents Swansea.

Three points would also see the Lancashire side leapfrog Sheffield United into second in the table, with the Blades playing tomorrow in the Steel City Derby.

Swansea themselves are on a bit of a run, too. A win today would be the third in succession at home under caretaker boss Alan Sheehan, a decent return after three successive defeats in Wales.

Nine points clear of the relegation zone wouldn't suggest a reason to panic for the Swans, but it would be nice to go into the international break with that figure in double figures.

  6. Still to come...published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    All games 15:00 GMT

In the early games the league leaders were held to a 2-2 draw at QPR, and Millwall snatched a late victory against Stoke, but we still have lots more to go in the 3pm kick-offs.

Just the eight fixtures to follow...

    • Blackburn v Cardiff
    • Coventry v Sunderland
    • Luton v Middlesbrough
    • Oxford v Watford
    • Plymouth v Derby
    • Preston v Portsmouth
    • Swansea v Burnley
    • West Brom v Hull
  7. 'It's a tough one to take'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    FT: Millwall 1-0 Stoke

    George Weaver
    BBC Radio Stoke

It's hard to tell what went on at the back post, Ben Wilmot didn't seem to agree with the decision.

He had hold of him, you could argue that it's soft but Ivanovic makes no mistake from the spot.

Mark Robins will be really disappointed with how they conceded.

They didn't do enough in the end to find a win, Millwall were the better side in the second half.

They just let the game slip away from them today, outside of the first half, I don't think they can be too annoyed.

It's a tough one to take.

  8. Point gained or two dropped?published at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    FT: QPR 2-2 Leeds

The top six in the ChampionshipImage source, BBC Sport

From 2-0 down after 30 minutes, Leeds will probably settle for picking up one point.

Now it's over to Burnley and Sheffield United who are both away to see if they can narrow the gap with wins.

We'll only know by this time tomorrow whether it's a good point or not for the leaders.

  9. 'Decent point'published at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    Jon Newsome

When you're 2-0 down here at Loftus Road, not many people were turning down a point.

It is a decent point. We were woeful first half but showed resilience and could have won the game.

The leaders are held to a draw.

A breathless Championship affair ends honours even as Leeds fight back from two goals down to grab a point at Loftus Road.

Koki Saito and Steve Cook had QPR two up after half-an-hour but a Morgan Fox own goal and Jayden Bogle's strike early in the second period levelled it up.

QPR end their run of four straight losses. Leeds miss the chance to open up a five-point cushion at the top.

  11. Postpublished at 14:25 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    QPR 2-2 Leeds

Largie Ramazani wins a corner... which is cleared.

QPR go up the other end and there is fancy footwork in the box from Jimmy Dunne but Leeds just about deal with the danger.

    Millwall 1-0 Stoke

A goalless draw until the very, VERY end. Hope no home fan left this one early.

Milhailo Ivanovic's last-minute penalty gives Alex Neill a third home win in charge of Millwall.

Stoke will now to have wait to see if those below them can respond.

  13. RED CARDpublished at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    QPR 2-2 Leeds

A terrible free-kick by Kenneth Paal as he goes down the line instead of in the box. Dan James leads the break but he is unceremoniously brought down by Koki Saito.

It looks like a yellow but Tim Robinson produces a red.

And the referee is 100% correct as replays show it was a bad foul with Saito's boot catching James on the back of the leg.

Leeds' miserable Saturday 12:30 record is set to continue. It's set to be five away games without a win at this time this season.

  16. PENALTY TO MILLWALLpublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

Right at the death! Josh Coburn is bundled over facing away from goal and the hosts will have a chance to surely win it...

The Loftus Road crowd is urging their side on in the last few minutes.

A shooting chance for Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka, but the Japan player slips at the vital moment and the chance is gone.

  19. Postpublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March

    QPR 2-2 Leeds

Ronnie Edwards' long throw causes problems and the ball richocets around and it's a desperate block from Pascal Struijk on Jimmy Dunne in the six-yard box.

    QPR 2-2 Leeds

Manor Solomon is trudging back around the goal towards the dugout. The Israel winger is none too impressed with Daniel Farke's call to hook him.
