  1. Postpublished at 42 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

The final ball from Villa has just not been good enough, with Olympiakos happy to sit back and defend in numbers. Matty Cash at the back post can't connect with a ball across the face of goal as another chance goes begging.

  2. goal

    Leandro Paredes (43 mins)

    Tie on.

Leandro Paredes just hammers the ball down the middle after the keeper makes his move.

What a boost this is for Roma, who were second best for the last 30 minutes or so.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Jonathan Tah is booked. I don't feel many people were expecting that to be given.

  4. 'Villa need a goal now'published at 20:41 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Unai Emery will be pleased with the way his team have played, clearly won't be happy with the scoreline or their lack of goals, but the way they have dominated the game he will be happy with. They need a goal now though.

  5. Postpublished at 41 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Moussa Diaby gets in behind left-back Quini and the pullback looks to have bounced off Santiago Hezze for a corner, but goal kick is the decision.

  6. PENALTY TO ROMApublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

A cross comes in and Leverkusen captain Jonathan Tah pulls the short of Sardar Azmoun before Romelu Lukaku heads wide.

And the referee points to the spot. Wow.

  7. 'The lack of space making Villa predictable'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

Because Olympiakos are dropping deeper, the space to pass into is getting less and less, making Villa more predictable.

Watched Villa these last few weeks and they just look exhausted. This is a team who don't often play more than 40 games a season and this is game No 58! Still an amazing season surpassing expectations.

    Adrian, Woking

British clubs have completely disappointed in Europe this season, as much as I wanted to see success for Villa in Europe it’s just not going to happen, at least they can focus on getting Champions League football next season.

  9. Postpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Fantastic double save by Roma's Mile Svilar, first to keep out Amine Adli's half-volley and then Adam Hlozek's follow-up.

  10. Postpublished at 38 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Leon Bailey isn't moving as freely as he would like, but is still out there as he looks to run off that knock he received.

Olympiakos captain Kostas Fortounis has a shooting chance from 25 yards and looks to curl a side-footer into the bottom corner, but Emiliano Martinez dives low and gathers.

  11. Postpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 9 May

    Atalanta 1-0 Marseille (agg: 2-1)

While Atalanta are so on top they needed to get a seocnd goal and make this more comfortable. Charles de Ketelaere is in the box but his effort is stopped by Pau Lopez.

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Neil Lennon

Such a difficult thing to do, to get the ball up and over a big wall like that in such a condensed area.

  13. Postpublished at 35 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Douglas Luiz takes the Villa free-kick, 20 yards out and central, but can't get it up and down in time with the ball sailing harmlessly over the top.

  14. Postpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 9 May

    Atalanta 1-0 Marseille (agg: 2-1)

So unlucky for Ademola Lookman, who slips in the box just as he looks set to fire home his second goal in five minutes. Teun Koopmeiners' following effort is saved.

As bad as I feel for Villa, and I do generally route for British clubs in Europe… I also hope that if they go out tonight, that opposition fans finally give West Ham the respect we deserve for winning this last year. Clearly it’s not as easy as some have rather arrogantly claimed.

    Tom, London

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 32 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Good refereeing as Leon Bailey is wiped out on the edge of the area, but play on is the call as Moussa Diaby has a shooting chance from a tight angle, but it is blocked by Kostas Tzolakis.

The official then brings it back to give Villa a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area and a yellow card for Rodinei.

Bailey looks in some discomfort though and may have picked up an injury.

  17. 'This could be one of the greatest seasons ever'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (Agg: 2-0)

    Robbie Savage
    Ex-Wales midfielder on TNT Sports

It is quite incredible, the run Bayer Leverkusen are on. This could be one of the greatest seasons of any club team ever. In the history of club football.

  18. goal

GOAL - Atalanta 1-0 Marseille (agg: 2-1)published at 20:30 British Summer Time 9 May

    Ademola Lookman (30 mins)

Atalanta take the lead in this tie thanks to Londoner Ademola Lookman.

Marseille back off the Nigeria international and let him shoot from 20 yards out. It takes a big deflection and lands in the bottom corner.

  19. 'Villa need to move the ball a bit quicker'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

It's not often that Villa have caught Olympiakos out of shape - that's what Emery will want to see.

When those Olympiakos players are not set, they need to move the ball a bit quicker.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Oh my, Bayer Leverkusen go so, so close to an opener.

Exequiel Palacios hits a sweet effort from 20 yards out which hits the post and hits the keeper's back but stops moving before it crosses the line.
