  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

A fourth yellow card from Roma. They're really going to have to watch themselves. Nicola Zalewski knows he isn't catching Jeremie Frimpong so fouls the wing-back.

You’re still in this Villa fans! Remember what Cov did a couple of weeks ago at Wembley? (Although to be fair - Olympiakos are ten times better than Manchester United)

  3. Postpublished at 28 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Leon Bailey, under pressure, gets his head to a cross from the left, but the looping header doesn't possess much power or direction and drifts wide.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Roma get their third booking and we're not even half an hour in. This time Leandro Paredes fouls Exequiel Palacios.

  5. 'Villa knocking on the door.'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Promising signs for Villa, they are knocking on the door. At the minute Olympiakos have completely dropped off, they have got the goal obviously, but they won't press Villa now as they will just play through them. Villa just need to shut the door at the other end. I think a goal is coming for them.

  6. Postpublished at 26 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Better from Villa as Lucas Digne crosses first time from the left, but a sliding home defender sends the ball behind for a corner.

It eventually falls to Ollie Watkins for his first sniff of goal, only to see his effort blocked. Villa get another chance and Douglas Luiz puts some power on it from 30 yards out, but it was too far out really and Kostas Tzolakis dives to his right to comfortably gather.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 9 May

    Atalanta 0-0 Marseille (agg: 1-1)

Oh my, how are Atalanta not ahead? Gianluca Scamacca hooks a shot against the crossbar from close range and then Charles de Ketelaere's fine header is saved by Pau Lopez. De Ketelaere misses the target with a third effort.

  8. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 9 May

    Atalanta 0-0 Marseille (agg: 1-1)

Atalanta are certainly on top. Davide Zappacosta has a shot saved and Teun Koopmeiners' effort is deflected.

  9. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Brilliant tackle by Gianluca Mancini to stop Adam Hlozek's potentially goalbound shot.

We've just discovered Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini was booked too in that melee a few minutes ago.

Paul: Villa actually need to create more than they are. Keeping the ball while going nowhere and being slow is useless. They needed to score three anyway to win the tie. They still need score three but now it’s to get extra time.

Ian: Think Unai Emery should just switch to his usual formation and go for broke if there's no goal or clear chances for them in this first half.

  11. 'Digne is getting plenty of room down the left'published at 20:23 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is plenty of space out wide on the left for Lucas Digne, he can be a very good out ball. Maybe down both flanks eventually but Digne is getting plenty of room, it is just all about the delivery at the end of it.

  12. Postpublished at 23 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Leon Bailey shifts the ball on to his left foot and looks to strike at goal from 20 yards out, only to slip at the worst moment with the ball harmlessly limping through to home keeper Kostas Tzolakis.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Roma are forced into an early change at wing-back as Nicola Zalewski replaces the injured Leonardo Spinazzola.

Richard T: Why do Premier league teams think "walking football " works. Villa are so slow and pedestrian that it is easy for Olympiakos. Didn't work for City against Madrid and won't work here. Trust your skills and go for it at pace.

Villa heading out and no English team will be in a European final this season. That felt very unlikely before a ball was kicked in August. Is it the fixture programme and fatigue, or are English teams just not as good as the Premier League makes them look?

  15. Postpublished at 21 mins

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

Leon Bailey gets some space on the right wing for Villa but his cross is a deep one and finds Lucas Digne on the opposite flank, but he then takes too much time to swing the ball in and Olympiakos comfortably clear.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

A melee breaks out and referee Danny Makkelie books Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba and Roma's Gianluca Mancini.

  17. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 9 May

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Roma (agg: 2-0)

Chance for Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini but his diving header is saved by Matej Kovar, who is Leverkusen's cup keeper.

  18. 'Olympiakos can hit them on the break'published at 20:18 British Summer Time 9 May

Olympiakos 1-0 Aston Villa (agg: 5-2)

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

Olympiakos are happy to allow Villa to come onto them because they know they can hit them on the break.

Villa haven't recovered well when they've lost the ball, and that's what the first goal came from.

  19. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 9 May

    Atalanta 0-0 Marseille (agg: 1-1)

Atalanta's second big chance of the game. Charles de Ketelaere sends Gianluca Scamacca through but the striker flashes his shot just wide of the far post.

Having spent 3 years as a season ticket holder at Olympiakos from 2015-2018 I can confirm that it has the best/ most intense/ intimidating atmosphere I’ve seen. Gate 7 supporters are immense. #legends .
