What's on the agenda for tomorrow you might ask?

Well only the small matter of Arsenal v Manchester City, with Vivianne Miedema set to return to Emirates Stadium in sky blue. That game kicks off at 12:30 BST.

Elsewhere Liverpool host Leicester City, while Tottenham welcome WSL newcomers Crystal Palace, both of those games will get under way at 14:00 BST.

So two resounding wins for Manchester United and Brighton to start their respective seasons.

Not a day for away sides West Ham and Everton who shipped seven goals between them.

The Dario Vidosic reign at Brighton gets off to an emphatic start with a huge home win.

Kiko Seike played the starring role with a hat-trick, with fellow debutant Fran Kirby also on the scoresheet.

A dismal day for Everton who open their campaign with defeat once again, compounded by a worrying looking injury to Aurora Galli.

    Brighton 4-0 Everton

Brighton continue pushing for a fifth goal as we tick into the final few minutes of stoppage time.

Pinball ensues in the Everton box as Jorelyn Carabali sees her initial strike blocked on the line. Her follow up effort is then caught gratefully by Courtney Brosnan.

First Brighton caution of the game goes to substitute Jelena Cankovic after she upends Honoka Hayashi in midfield.

Everton boss Brian Sorensen spoke about the club's injury crisis last season in the build up to this match, stressing the need to 'keep players healthy' this campaign.

That injury to Aurora Galli may have him fearing the worst again, although there are plenty of other issues he will need to address after this heavy opening day defeat.

  8. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 21 September

    Brighton 4-0 Everton

Ten substitutions between the teams and that stoppage for the injury to Aurora Galli sees the referee add on eight minutes of injury time.

    Brighton 4-0 Everton

Hat-trick hero Kiko Seike is afforded a standing ovation as her debut is called to a close. She is replaced by Madison Haley.

Fellow goalscoring debutant Fran Kirby also makes way for Michelle Agyemang who the Seagulls brought in on loan from Arsenal this summer.

    Brighton 4-0 Everton

Perhaps a positive sign for Everton as Aurora Galli is able to walk off the pitch aided by the medical team and without need for a stretcher.

Here's hoping it is nothing too serious for the Italian and she makes a speedy recovery.

Concern for Everton as Aurora Galli goes down clutching her knee. She looks to be in agonising pain.

She seemed to get her foot caught in the turf as she was looking to jink away from a Brighton defender on the edge of the box.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 21 September

    Brighton 4-0 Everton

    Another Everton change.

Katja Snoejis makes way for Emma Bissell for the final ten minutes or so.

Aurora Galli's effort curls over the wall but it doesn't drop in time, looping harmlessly over the top of the Brighton bar.

If it wasn't game over before it certainly is now.

A dismal opening day for Everton, who are heading for a record-extending eighth opening day defeat in the WSL era.

On the other hand Brighton, having only picked up five points at home all season last year, have three points on the board already this.

GOAL - Brighton 4-0 Evertonpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 21 September

    Kiko Seike, 75 mins

    Debut hat-trick!

A worldie of a strike from Kiko Seike to cap off an outstanding performance.

She drives forward to the edge of the box before smashing the ball off the outside of her foot, sending it curling into the top right corner of the net.

    Simply sublime.

A composed and impressive victory by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The win never really looked in doubt. They dominated the final-third play and West Ham struggled to deal with them at the back.

They'll face tougher tests soon, but that was a performance which showed positive signs to begin the season.

Of course Fran Kirby had to score on her debut. She is the player many people came to see today and she has delivered with a strong performance and a goal.

Her partnership with Kiko Seike is going to cause nightmares for other teams this season.

A very enjoyable performance from Brighton and the perfect way to start their season.
