Wycombe sidestepped a tricky FA Cup banana skin by defeating Wealdstone 2-0 at Grosvenor Vale.
Goals from Beryly Lubala and Richard Kone proved enough for the League One leaders to defeat their National League opponents.
Wealdstone should have taken the lead after 22 minutes when Sam Ashford crossed low across the face of goal to find Alex Reid who put the ball over the bar from less than three yards out.
Wycombe punished the missed chance six minutes later. After Dan Udoh was upended by Jack Cook 25 yards out, Lubala struck an unstoppable free kick to give the visitors the lead.
A second goal almost arrived for the visitors eight minutes after the restart but Jacob Adams was able to scoop Ryan Tafazolli's header off the line.
Wycombe almost gifted Wealdstone an equaliser but goalkeeper Shamal George was alert to deny Reid after a poor David Wheeler header.
Reid picked up on another mistake, this time by Tafazolli, and saw his 71st minute solo run matched by George as the hosts chased an equaliser
However, the visiting side made sure of their passage to the third round when sub Kone made it 2-0 with a fierce finish after a powerful solo run.
