Match Facts

  • This is the first meeting between Stockport and Brackley Town in the FA Cup proper, and first in any competition since a 1-0 win for Brackley in the 2018-19 National League North.

  • Brackley Town have eliminated Football League opposition from the FA Cup twice before (L3) – Gillingham in 2013-14 and Gillingham again in 2016-17.

  • Stockport were knocked out of the FA Cup by Aldershot Town last season – they’ve not been eliminated from the competition proper by a non-league side in consecutive campaigns since 1985-86 (Telford United) and 1986-87 (Caernarfon Town).

  • Brackley are looking to reach the third round of the FA Cup for the first time, being knocked out of the competition at this stage in 2013-14, 2016-17 and 2020-21.
