Penalty shootout drama and injury-time goals from goalkeepers... is this not why you came to an FA Cup live text?

A day short on upsets but long on intrigue with some pulsating ties and sensational goals to boot.

Not nearly enough magic, however, with just the six ties remaining in the the second round, we still have no non-league sides through to the third round.

We'll see if Dagenham & Redbridge can change that as they visit AFC Wimbledon in little over an hour from now, while there will be four more opportunities tomorrow with Tamworth, Harborough, Kettering and Solihull Moors all seeking to write their name into Cup folklore.

Of course we'll be there to take you through every kick, header and penalty...

Thanks for your company on this bumper session, we'll see you next door for AFC Wimbledon v Dagenham & Redbridge shortly.

  2. 'Rover's defensive display was outstanding'published at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Bristol Rovers 0-0 Barnsley (4-3) on penalties

    Lee Mansell
Former Bristol Rovers midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

Bristol Rovers had to weather a hell of a storm from this Barnsley side but the defensive display from Rovers was absolutely outstanding.

They put bodies on the line and goal line clearances and that gives you an opportunity to get to those penalties which are always a lottery and it's whoever's technique's the best.

It was a really gritty performance from the Bristol Rovers boys and one that 200 odd supporters can go away proud and know that every single player that got onto that pitch today gave absolutely everything.

  3. 'Stanley's penalties were absolutely superb'published at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Accrington 2-2 Swindon (4-1 on pens)

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool and Preston striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

I'm lost for words, what a game.

    Stanley's penalties were absolutely superb.

It's a shame sometimes that someone has to lose because both teams have gone through the mill.

Leyton Orient goalkeeper scores last-minute equaliser

On-loan Tottenham goalkeeper Josh Keeley headed a last second equaliser for Leyton Orient to send their FA Cup tie into extra-time and eventually earn a place in the third round.

  5. ACCRINGTON STANLEY WIN ON PENALTIESpublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Accrington 2-2 Swindon (4-1 on pens)

Billy Crellin was the hero for Accrington with two saves in the shootout as Stanley saw off 10-man Swindon to reach round three.

Crellin saved Harry Smith's penalty in the final half-hour of normal time, which helped the hosts comeback to equalise in stoppage-time through Tyler Walton's second of the day.

After a goalless extra 30 minutes the game went to penalties and Crellin was the hero again.

17-year-old Stanley sub Anjola Papoola beat Town keeper Jack Bycroft from the first spot-kick before Crellin saved Aaron Drinan’s effort down to his right to put the hosts on top.

Jimmy Knowles sent Bycroft the wrong way to make it 2-0 before Joel Cotterill, who put Town ahead in normal time, saw his effort caught by Crellin diving to his left this time.

Ben Woods found the corner for a 3-0 lead and though Will Wright reduced the arrears by sending Crellin the wrong way, Bolton loanee Nelson Khumbeni kept his cool to send Stanley into the third round.

  6. BRISTOL ROVERS WINpublished at 17:48 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Bristol Rovers win 0-0 (4-3) on penalties

Barnsley's first penalty taker Adam Phillips hit the bar to set off a bad tone for the home side.

Sam Cosgrove, Jon Russell and Fabio Jalo put theirs in the net but as did Chris Martin, Ruel Sotiriou and Scott Sinclair for the Gas.

Shaq Forde had a close call with Barnsley keeper getting a touch but in it went and all the pressure was on Josh Earl.

Was the pressure too much? Couldn't say because Josh Griffiths did exactly what he's been doing all match and put in a save to take Rovers into the third round.

If Oldham play like this every week then they've got an unbelievable chance of getting promoted.

They've been outstanding today, they've really took it to League One opponents.

It's devastating for them but they've been absolutely brilliant.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Leyton Orient 2-1 Oldham

That's what the FA Cup does, that's what it's all about and that's one for the ages.

In years to come it'll just be another second round tie but those involved either playing or watching won't forget it.

Manny Monthe's goal seemed to be taking Oldham into round three and to a big upset until in the 99th minute.

Leyton Orient had one last chance even though we were beyond the eight minutes added on by referee Alan Young, Tom James sent over a free-kick and the home side's goalkeeper Josh Keeley got on the end of it to nudge into the net.

Dan Agyei then missed a penalty in extra-time and we looked to be heading for a shoot-out until Agyei redeemed himself in the 120th minute by heading home from a corner.

Gutting for Oldham, salvation for Orient, exhausting for us!

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Accrington 2-2 Swindon

Brave effort from Swindon, who have played with 10 men since the 41st minute and were 2-1 up until injury-time at the end of normal time.

Billy Crellin and Jack Bycroft have the chance to be heroes in the shootout.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:39 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Leyton Orient 1-1 Oldham

    Pete Wild
Former Oldham manager on BBC Radio Manchester

The Oldham goalkeeper Mathew Hudson has been excellent.

I've been one of his slight critics this year but as the season has gone on he's got better and better.

He's certainly kept Oldham in this cup tie today.

Can he keep making the difference or will Barnsley finally find their goal scoring feet?

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024
