Notts County have won just one of their last 18 meetings with Peterborough in all competitions (D5 L12), with this their first such encounter since a 2-0 loss in an FA Cup second round replay in December 2016.

Peterborough have progressed from 14 of their last 15 FA Cup ties against sides from a lower division than themselves, with the exception being a 2-1 loss to non-league Chorley in 2020-21.

Notts County are looking to reach the FA Cup third round for the first time since 2017-18. The Magpies have lost their last five FA Cup ties against sides from a higher division.
